Planning on running for city council this spring...

I want to clean up the municipal code and stop wasting police resources on dumb citations--and just cut the public safety budget, not a very popular platform if you ask me. I would of course be strongly against any eminent domain takings. I am in the process of analyzing the city budget to see how I can save the citizens money. I also push to eliminate flouride being added to the city's water supply- as it is added currently. City pop. approx 72000. Any campaign suggestions would be appreciated!

I'd soften it up a bit
Talk about the issues everyone can agree on such as wanting to raise higher standards for our water instead of "let's take the flouride out of the water." And saying that you want to cut wasteful spending on programs that don't work instead of, "cut a bunch of programs." It's unfortunate, but that's how you play the game.

Walk the Walk
By that I mean hit the streets and talk to your townfolk - they'll tell you what they want done and how they want it done. Just listen and they'll give you the best strategy to get you elected.
