I'm losing in a debate about voting for the lesser of 2 evils. The main issue being that the other person pointed out all of the good bills McCain voted for, and I need to throw some facts about bills McCain has supported that are against the Constitution.

I never really did my research on McCain cause I never intended to vote for him. I voted Baldwin btw

Here is his last email to me:
Here let me help; I'll pick common ground issues:
• Tax Cuts
SConRes 21 (Roll Call 107). The Senate rejected an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2008 Budget Resolution that would have permitted the extension of the 2001 tax cuts.

• Estate ("Death") Tax Repeal
SConRes 21 (Roll Call 109). The Senate rejected an amendment to the FY 2008 Budget Resolution that would have permitted the permanent repeal of the estate tax.

• Tax Reconciliation
HR 4297 Motion to Instruct (Roll Call 16) The Senate passed a motion to instruct conferees on the Tax Reconciliation bill to insist that the conference report include an extension of the alternative minimum tax exemption for middle class families in 2006 as well as the House-passed two-year extension of the dividends and capital gains tax cuts.

• Spending Limitations
S Con Res 83 (Roll Call 65) The Senate defeated a change in its rules that would make it harder to increase spending beyond the previous year's levels by creating a point of order against such spending that could only be set aside by a two-thirds vote.
McCain for - Obama against
• Tax Reconciliation
HR 4297 (Roll Call 118) The Senate adopted a bill extending $70 billion in tax cuts through 2010. The tax cuts include the reduction in capital gains taxes.
McCain for - Obama against
• Death Tax Repeal
HR 8 (Roll Call 164) The Senate defeated a motion to end a filibuster against a bill to permanently repeal of the death tax. ACU supported repeal of the death tax and thus supported this motion, which got a majority of the votes, but failed because 60 votes are required to end a filibuster. The vote was 57-41 on June 8, 2006.
McCain for - Obama against
• Gulf of Mexico Offshore Oil and Gas Drilling
S 3711 (Roll Call 219) The Senate passed a bill authorizing drilling in about 8.3 million acres of the eastern Gulf of Mexico.

These are REAL bills that came before the Senate. Think of it as an alliance with someone whom you don't fully agree with but have some common ground...where have I heard that before?

How many bills will Chuck, Ralph, and Cindy be voting on in 2009? NONE.
Guess how many bills Obama will be "voting" on? ALL OF THEM.
