Grassroots Ron Paul Docum3ntary in the works - Help Us Name It!!

Some of you may have seen this thread from our recent 10,000 mile roadtrip interviewing members and elements of the RP2008 grassroots. We have nuggets of gold captured within our 30+ hours of footage, which we are slowly going through and dissecting.

We have been debating the name for the documentary, and damn it, we're having a hell of a time nailing it down. How can you sum up all that has happened in just a few words? The title is a key part to making it a success.

My original title idea was "The Last Statesman" and then a subtitle along the lines of "How Ron Paul Lit A Grassroots Bonfire".

But I think the title needs to be more clever. The doc is going to tie in the Green Bay, WI to MLPS Walk4Freedom as a post-campaign example of what the RP campaign has produced and inspired. It's going to cut back into time going though the presidential campaign from the perspective of the grassroots creativity and efforts.

The audience demographic for the doc is of course supporters, but, perhaps more importantly, also for non-supporters/interested parties for the historical record. We have quite a story to tell. Obviously we know we must grow the movement. We hope to convert new minds by showing what happened during RP's campaign, and why. This could be an important tool for the future, and we're going to do our best to make it powerful and informative.

We will have a section on the media bias and attacks.

We'll also be looking for particular footage, so if anyone has original footage (best if original and unseen), we would love to see it!! We also need full res recordings of all of RP's media appearances during the primaries and from the Republican primary debates. We'll be posting a new thread when we're ready to engage in the footage collection stage. Anyone who contributes footage will have their name in the credits and get a comp copy of the DVD.

So.....does anyone have any ideas to contribute? We need a damn good title. We're shooting for a May 2009 release, which would be ideal. That being said, these things can take years sometimes - but with Obama winning and the Repub party in disarray, we realize this is needed sooner than later.

A teaser pre-trailer is in the works, which we hope to release by early December. We're taking our time to do it right. Just wait....he he :)
