Bob Barr Campaign Officials: Ron Paul is to Blame!!!!

0 votes

Shane Cory & other staffers claim:
"Ron Paul is to Blame for not receiving $30 Million"
Also alleges: "Paul set the liberty movement back a decade by encouraging people to stay in the GOP," Cory says

Also this comment deserves to be in the OP:
jonthebeloved writes:
A quick thinking friend of mine just said "I guess Barr's camp skipped over the 'personal responsibilty' part of the Libertarian Party platform." Ha!

http://reason.com/news/show/129858.html

Quote from the article(btw Reason's David Wiegel also craps on the Good Doctor in the comment section):
As the campaign wound to a close, it was clear that Barr wouldn't get close to the $30 million fundraising goal campaign manager Russ Verney set in May, a disappointment that staffers blame in part on former Republican presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas). "Paul set the liberty movement back a decade by encouraging people to stay in the GOP," Cory says. "Not that the Republicans planned it, but if they did they couldn't have planned it any better."

Also Quote from the comments by Reason's David Weigel who is sore & sad after dissing Ron Paul everyday on his "Hit & Run" column:

"Dave Weigel | November 4, 2008, 3:30pm | #
didn't he call a press conference to tell people to vote third-party?

He did, then he told people to vote for Baldwin, then he directed most of the Campaign for Liberty's efforts at electing Republicans."

Probably Ron Paul is to blame that NeoCon Bob Barr & NeoCon Root recieved approximately 0.4%
Not even beating Ron Paul's 0.47% of 1988

So NeoCons Barr & Root Snub Ron Paul, spit in his face, and then their campaign & Reason Magazine craps all over Ron Paul & blames him for their miserable failure.
Am I missing something here?
What a joke

Im Still waiting for the LP apology to Ron Paul which they still haven't given.

BooooHooooooooooo

Who in hell is Barr?

I mean, seriously, Barr is a passing episode; Paul is a milestone in American politics.

Makes me think Ron Paul is on the right track

If they are pissed at him for staying in the Republican Party, maybe they are sh**ing themselves knowing that a Republican takeover is in the works. They would rather have us spinning our wheels and getting nowhere in third party land, but in the Republican Party we have an actual chance to make a definitive difference in 2010 and 2012. That probably scares the crap out of the elites, hence the anger directed at Ron Paul.

How much in debt? Maybe we should hold a Credit Card Bomb!

We can send Bob all of our pre-approved credit card ads we get in the mail, and he can apply for a few to pay off his campaign vendors.

No one is listening

to him anyway. Any one who blames Paul for anything is obviously licking their wounds and need to crawl off, go to sleep and shut up before they discredit themselves even more.

Barr was just a backstop

To prevent Paul from running on the Libertarian ticket, nothing more.

Even though he said countless times that he would not go third party, and his word is as good as gold.

They still don't "get" Dr. Paul, do they?

RON PAUL 2012

I never trusted Bob Barr

He was the GOP plant to derail the efforts of Ron Paul.

I couldn't stand this worm from day one

Once you have voted for the patriot act and then later try to back pedal your a worm. A term my mother bless her soul used to describe the lowest of the low.
If you F up admit it and go on, do not turn things around to justify your bad actions.
Bob Barr is a worm, he even looks like some library serial killer. Funny thing is this guy had a snowballs chance in hell of even getting 1%. Weasels only attract weasels and there aren't many weasels voting 3rd party. Mainly because the democrats and republicans have taken most all of the weasels.
They defiantly have the market cornered on Sheeple.Just my 2 cents which today is actualy worth 2.6 cents :) copper content makes a penny worth 1.3 cents. Save your pennies! the melt value alone will bring a handsome return. lol go figure...

you mean pre 1982 pennies

Bob Barr

In my opinion, in hindsight, maybe Bob Barr was not the best choice for the Libertarian party.

When he first said he may run, I was in favor of it. I thought he would do rather well.

In his whole campaign, he said all the right things for me, very well I might add.

HOWEVER, his treatment of the Ron Paul campaign is what cost him so much in campaign contributions. (that, and a lot of us were tapped out)

I have never given more then $100 to any Libertarian Candidate, but I gave Ron Paul $600 and would have done more if I didn't go broke.

I still voted for Bob Barr, even though I was not happy with him. Right now I am wishing I voted for Chuck Baldwin.

Ron Paul is right, we must stay involved in the Republican Party if we want to make any differences.

Don't worry about Chuck.

He still has future presidential runs in him.

My opinion of Barr and Root

From the beginning I knew

Bob Barr was a piece of crap spouting words and he's proved that over and over.

Deliberate Infiltrator and plant to deflect votes and support for Ron Paul.

ya know, this is funnier than i originally thought

dr. paul was marginalized thru out the primary as a joke, kook, lunatic - you name it - who didn't have enough support to make a difference, so he should have given up long, long ago.

yet, suddenly he's become such a powerful force w/in the republican, libertarian, and other independent parties that he alone is to blame for driving support away from other candidates.

make up your mind, idiots.

On Barr

Its amazing that without even trying, Rep Paul was able to obtain $35 Million for his campaign, yet Barr can't get more than $1 Million.

Did Barr expect those of us who supported Ron Paul to change sides in mid stream? Or that we would put the same trust in him that we put into Ron Paul.

Ron Paul hasn't lied to us, where as Bob Barr did as a Congressman.
Ron Paul has been happily married for 50+ years, Bob has been divorced twice and did the EXACT same thing I found abhorrent about John McCain, got married less than a month after his divorce was finalized.

On top of it all, he voted for the Patriot Act and while he agrees that it was wrong for him to do so, do we trust someone that only gives a cursory look at the laws for which they are voting?

Barr's problems with running for President were Barr's fault. Blaming it on Ron Paul just indicates the content of Mr. Barr's character.

HAHAHA what a joke.

Ron Paul is Responsible for Barr's poor showing.

Bob Barr is to blame.

Free and Brave
or Cradle to Grave
You can't have both

How about the campaign staff of Barr

taking responsibility. Since it felt very much like Barr wanted to run off with Ron Paul's glory they might have not put the effort in needed to gain the support they so badly needed. Sorry Bobby Barr, you just ain't good enough, no charisma and shilling.

People with even a little bit of spine are not casting blame but start looking at where they themselves went wrong.

THE REAL SHAME IS THAT whatever the causes...

...the 3rd parties are split and the votes are all dispersed. Not enough concentrated voting power to make the least bit of difference.

Just what the 2 corrupt major parties ordered. They could not have scripted a better outcome. Divide, conquer and scatter the members to the winds.

Just look at the final numbers to see how bad it was.

I went from a registered Republican to Libertarian but voted for Baldwin in the end. Even though the Libertarian platform is slightly better and in some ways more constitutional than the Constitution party.

Now I'm out in the wilderness wandering around like an idiot.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

Third Parties can be rebuilt.

But the Libertarian Party is pretty much a dead letter.

By the way...

I wrote in Chuck Baldwin this year for president. Barr is a shill of a Libertarian, and I never felt that he represented me, nor the Libertarian Party. I did like his running mate Wayne Root though, especially on the issue of gambling.
