they would move to Bird. With everything I've seen over the past year and a half, I'm not surprised anymore. The only thing that DOES surprise me is the GOP's demonization of Palin. Of course, this is just their public appearance and behind closed doors, if she ran, they would help her.

Sorry, but she IS NOT the future of "the party". We need NEW leadership not re-treads and at this point she is a tainted re-tread in my book. Besides, I personally never supported her positions. She was to close to Israel and held her religion on her sleeve. Both of these issues will deep six the GOP in the future. The country has moved away from these types of issues as being the most important things that they want to hear from candidates. Obama just proved that you can say "hope and change" all day long and get elected.

The buzz that RP generated was similar but it was "liberty and the constitution" backed by real ideals and real talking points. This made sense to the millions of us out here in election land.
