Ron Paul for House Republican Conference Chair-Elect A Statesman to Leadership-Day 8

Update: We have less than Five days to make this happen!

Now, that Roy Blount has stepped aside as House Republican Minority Whip there is a chance to place Dr. Paul inside leadership. I would like to see Dr. Paul has number two or three in leadership. First, I encourage everyone to call the Congressman Texas office or the Capitol and urge him to throw his hat in the ring. Second, call your nearest Republican congressman or call the DC switchboard and encourage them to elect Dr. Paul #2 or #3 in the House of Representative Leadership.

Let us make real change in leadership and bring constitutional values in the forefront today. I called the Dr. Paul's capitol office on Friday and I help you all will do the same Monday or Tuesday and spread the message. We need to move quickly because House Republican Leadership votes starts on November 19th through the 20th.

Dear Representative XXXX,

The Republican Party has recently suffered significant defeats that add insult to the injury of the devastating 2006 mid-term election. The Party's capacity to capture the heart and soul of the right of center American electorate has been severely eroded. It is clearly time for a change in leadership in the party and a return to the limited-government conservatism that once made the Party great.

This is why I am urging you to support Ron Paul for House Minority Whip. Not only does Dr. Paul represent a return to the conservatism of Reagan and Goldwater, but he is the only Republican Congressman that has been on the national stage in recent months. He has the experience to lead, he is principled and he has a legion of supporters across this country that will rally behind causes that he supports. Dr. Paul is the only Congressman who can reach out to the disaffected conservatives, constitutionalists and libertarians who have left the party in recent years. By electing Dr. Paul as Minority Whip, you would be sending a message to the general voting public that the Republican Party is charting a new, inclusive course for the 111th Congress.
