Human Sexuality is just plain FUNNY. Why are people so uptight?

I've noticed a few "gay themed" threads on the Daily Paul that have turned really nasty due to folks getting their undies in a bunch about stuff that they really don't need to.

This thread is devoted to the funny side of human sexual preference and desire. No pomposity or bigotry allowed.

I'll get the ball rolling with a series of videos about a guy named Peter who keeps falling for the wrong kind of woman.

where to begin...

sexuality means different things to different people...personally, it can mean just raw sex or it can mean a deeper connection to another human being. and in and of itself, is partly an extension of personality.

my brother was gay. was i not to love my brother or accept him when he was alive? i didn't see him as a sinner. i don't believe in sin. i believe in good or bad. he was good. he was a good person to others and himself.

i'm married, but have enjoyed some extra-curricular activities together. we have a very honest relationship. it is very up-front and there have been no surprises, other than the surprises we commit to for one another...the romance and spontanaity. every once in a while we get a little crazy....mostly by ourselves, but sometimes with others.

we live in the woods and mostly spend our time nude when at home.

we have gay and lesbian friends, but they don't make up our life, they just are part of the beautiful fabric of our life. and we don't hang around any heterosexuals or homosexuals that flaunt their sexuality on others...thats the sign of insecurity and bigotry...

SIN?

Are dirty thoughts, nude pictures, sexual dreams, and sex toys a sin too?

I guess we're all sinners one way or another, so what's the big deal about sex?

very funny

and even kinda touching.

Sexuality is very serious.

Human's inability to understand the spiritual connection with sexuality is the key to all problems in the world. Humans are not dogs, we are spiritual creatures with conscience. Only some people run from it, and suppress it through various distractions.

I could go on, but I don't think this topic is even appropriate for this forum.

"Might does not make right"

connection

that spiritual connection is very subtle and important. our "energy fields/spirits" affect each other all the time; there's a Huge give and take with the sexual act.

I guess on topic here's a quote:

"Never feel remorse for what you have thought about your wife, she has thought much worse things about you" Jean Rostand

No smiling or humor allowed :-(

Sex is just for procreation. You're not supposed to enjoy it. Or laugh at it.

As for "appropriate topics", the threads on Gardasil and proposition 8 rapidly turned into "sodomy threads" at the hands of self-righteous people.

Actually I'm rather drawn

between seeing sexuality as something
spiritual
entertaining
ridiculous.
But anyway it's nothing to be self- righteous about.

Ron Paul was right

Funny, huh?

Did Sodom and Gomorrah think it was funny? Is disease funny? Choose life and live long, or choose death. God instructs us on how to be happy. That is what He wants.

Hahahaaa.

That dudes mom made me flinch.

If I can't be pompous...

...how about self-righteous? I could go on and on about how sweet and tolerant I am compared to all those theists and monogamists and homophobes who constantly patrol these fora looking for offense to take.

My self-righteousness is a little like The O's "great humility," of which he boasted upon his nomination.

There is no shortage of irony in this weird world.

I am a theist and a monogamist and ...

I have found your comments to be quite refreshing.

Pompous, they are not.

Not sure if you could say the same about me.

WAHOR!!

Don't you people have anything better

to do??? How about you take a cold shower or go to a porn site or something?

That was cute

and honest. If people are afraid to look at truth about their government why would they consider truth about anything else. Tell a fat person to eat less and exercise, an alcoholic they drink to much, a drug addict to quit, a person with anorexia to eat, a smoker to stop etc. etc. They don't want to hear it from you and they don't even want to hear it from themselves. Denial is a river in Egypt. LOL Thanks, for posting

The uptight ones...

...are afraid of not getting any. So they project that on everyone else by trying to prevent everyone else from getting any, either. Misery loves company.

So says this lesbian trapped in a man's body...

LOL!

I blame rutabagas

There is a lot of

sexual repression in the United States; much more so than you find in Europe. It started with the pilgrims and has carried down through the more fundamentalist branches of Christianity. That is why otherwise rational people get enraged about this subject. It is tied into their religious belief system.

Somewhere in hell, John Maynard Keynes is laughing maniacally and dancing a jig.

I wonder

why your country at the same time has this large porn industry. And American culture from overseas (mainly transmitted by films) seems somehow pretty libertine. I guess that was part of its appeal. Sex sells.

This confuses me too. Where I am, in New Jersey near New York, I wouldn't say it's particularly sexually repressed. If you are to believe the media, this is part of a huge cultural divide in the US, the red state/blue state thing- although having been in "red" areas, it doesn't seem that bad. I think it has more to do with some sort of double think principle that exists in some religious communities. I recall a girl in New Orleans I met years ago who was a self-identified Christian and went to church every sunday, but was also a crazy drunk bi-sexual party girl. She didn't see any contradiction in this, as she said "It's ok, as long as I repent."

Kind of like how we have this war on drugs that nobody actually believes in or thinks works... I think it's an image thing. And it's not new. There was this story Sarte wrote, I forget the name of it, about this very subject. It's available in the No Exit collection.

It's actually kind of amusing to see the superstitious comments here on a supposedly libertarian board.
