Rebuild the Party

It doesn't look like they will listen to us on this site. One of the ideas I voted for was removed and it was the best one. It had a whole list of great ideas like:

end the fed
gold standard
repeal patriot act
end the war
etc...

stuff like that. It was the best idea up there but was removed by someone on the site. It was very popular and close to the top but has now been removed. I just noticed when I saw that I had my 3 votes back.

They try to shut us up but we just come back louder.

I had to put up another one. Here is what I wrote:

Right now the republican party just seems like a more heartless version of the left. You are both promoting socialistic programs, but they offer more so if those are the issues they win. We need to get away from socialism and back to the our conservative and constitutional roots and help educate people why freedom is better for everyone, especially the poor. Here are the things the Republican Party should stand for and promote.

1. Follow the Constitution
2. GOLD STANDARD!!!!!
3. End the Federal Reserve
4. Close the IRS
5. "Humble Foreign Policy"
6. Only Defensive Wars
7. Repeal the Patriot Act
8. Reduce Regulation and Trust the Free Market AND liberty
9. Get out of people lives and business
10. Protect Property Rights
11. uphold contracts
12. Let dying companies die
13. Fair and Simple Taxation
14. Outlaw Land seizer via Property Tax and eminent domain
15. Restore Habeas Corpus
16. Promote that rights are unalienably from God, not granted by government
17. Right to Bear Arms
18. Oppose all Socialism and Promise to Gradually and honestly root it out.
19. Protect our Borders
20. Do not "commit our men, arms, or money to the control of foreign or world organizations of governments"
21. Let people question the government
22. Limit Government not the People!

The Gold standard would help make most of these happen by default and is why it is so important. Many in the establishment will say that it isn't necessary. That money is just a means of exchange. But we can see that a gold standard has bigger functions. It limits the supply and increases demand. We've seen throughout ALL history that governments can not be trusted to limit themselves. It is simply against human nature. Having a Gold Standard would limit government, increase the value of our money, force us to have a humble foreign policy, limit the destruction of civil liberties and get us back to honest spending because the limited money supply would demand it. The poor would become richer via increase in value of their money and increased purchasing power. Pennies could be worth something again! Sound, gold-backed money supports the poor because it makes the money they have worth more! We don't even need to outright change the currency. We can start a secondary gold currency but currently the government won't let this happen through regulation. Or let private companies start their own gold backed currency. Push for a secondary Gold based currency and let the people decide if they want it.

Promote Personal Freedom! People will respond to Freedom. That is what makes many of the grass root movement's message appeal to so many. If you trust liberty and people, then shrinking government makes sense.

NOW is the time to promote these basic constitutional ideas! If you wait for 4 years, it will be too late.

"A chemistry professor in a large college had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab the Professor noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back, and stretching as if his back hurt.

You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in The last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity."

if you have the time to kill, i suggest browsing around and educating the people that thought they were conservative. don't look at this as trying to win the party "leaders" over. this is a great chance to win over some sheep.

I stated the the RNC Chairman should
BE Ron Paul and follow the constitutional Principles.

That suggestion has been deleted. It was hovering around 100 votes.

I imagine that they didn't like that IDEA.

One has only to look at this statement made in the article to realize just how much hypocracy is still in action in the Party.....
The fabric of the Republican Party at the local level is rending. We saw it this spring when a small and energized base of Ron Paul supporters succeeded in taking over many local party organizations.
The reality is that this happened because our existing local party institutions are not all they could be.....
Doesn't exactly sound like the welcome mat has been laid out.

There was an Idea Submitted that's at the top of the List: "Reach out to Ron Paul and the Campaign for Freedom"

So far it has 2200 Votes and it is the Hottest Idea. Check it out :-D

One thing I don't understand is all the anti-Sarah Palin rhetoric. Yes, she wasn't qualified to be Vice President, but I think that politically she is closer to us than McCain or the Bushes. I'd say that if she runs for Senate and proves herself, maybe she could go farther.
