Gun Show Report: Flying off the Shelves!
I had an interesting weekend, on Saturday I went shooting feeling the need to brush up on some skills ;-) That weekend A local pawn shop was having a half off sale. So after an enjoyable day of shooting we meandered on into the pawn shop to see what they had. Well we barely found a place to park and could hardly get in the door. They had exactly 8 guns left. I asked the guy how it went and he said they flew off the shelf inside a couple hours in the morning.
Just so happens there was also a Gun Show at the Fair grounds so we went there on Sunday about 1:00 pm. I usually go on Sunday to the gun show because there is less people. Well it was packed and you could hardly walk down the Isle. The hand guns, battle rifles, and ammo tables were the most busy. However everyone seemed to be doing a brisk business. I saw a friend I hadn't seen in ages who had a table and he said there were more people Sunday then Saturday which never happens.
I also had some interesting conversations with complete strangers on what the future holds and what Obama has in store. There is definitely an air of anxiety and urgency amongst the people. I think any bold moves by government could have unintended consequences.

A guy I work with has a second job at Cabella's and he said they sold out of Bushmasters AR style in less then 4 days and also Sig 556's. He came in this morning and said hand guns flew off the shelves again last night.
If your thinking of buying something don't put it off because it will either be gone or it will go up in price.
I am going to ask him about reloading equipment if sales in it are going up.

I've also noticed a few places around town (Houston) that
seem to also be experiencing spot shortages of reloading components as well. One large online supplier reports out-of-stock (no backorders being accepted) for primers from at least two manufacturers. When I asked why, I was told that there has simply been a run on them recently and the manufacturers cannot give them a firm resupply date.

Bring Brochures
Gun shows would be a good place to distribute C4L brochures. I had an eager reception for RP brochures at a gun show last January. C4L brochures would help get some other people on the same page. I had to distribute my RP slim jims outside the gun show as the gun show management did not want brochures distributed inside. Two gun dealers , however, did display and distribute slim jims from their tables.

Makes sense, since the right to bear arms was put there so that people could defend themselves against government and not to only defend themselves from people breaking into their house or to go hunting.

Been to 2 gun shows before the election.
a couple a while back. Huge difference. Way bigger crowds and everyone buying not just looking. Going to one this weekend, I will update you all Monday. I will also update on peoples reaction to End the Fed. (thats my man reason for going)
I am going to be checking the status here locally.

My Idea for a 2nd Ammendment day
was ill conceived. I wrongly believed that we should plan for massive buying of firearms around the election. Preferably the weekend before. The American people without any direction are speaking with actions not words. With no coordination, gun sales around the country are up. Way up. The national instant background check is swamped. My local outdoors shop was nearly sold out of new and used handguns and rifles of all kinds. They have never seen anything like it.
I believe this will continue for a while.

A report on t.v., the store man said: that Target World was selling $100,000 grand a day in firearms during their sell and would have sold more if they had 'em. They were calling on the phones hot 'n heavy to acquire more AK's and the like.
