Remember the soldier does not set our foreign policy, our elected leaders do.

From a website described as "Rants and raves from a conservative biker and military veteran living in liberal Austin"
http://urbangrounds.com/

From the Saint Crispin’s Day speech from Shakespeare’s Henry V:

"We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day."

To all who served before me, to those with whom I served, and to those who serve today — thank you. Of all of my life’s accomplishments and achievements, I am most proud of having been a Soldier.

Heinlein wrote: “The noblest fate that a man can endure is to place his own mortal body between his loved home and the war’s desolation.”

Remember:

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag.

Happy Veteran's Day

Or as we grunts like to put it, happy hangover day (it's the day after the Marines Birthday). LOL

I'm conducting the color guard at a Veterans Day ceremony at the courthouse in a couple of hours, and if the weather holds out, we should get a fair turnout. It's a bit rainy today.

If you really want to thank us, just keep spreading the message that woke so many of us up, and everything we've done won't be in vain.

Thank you Vets for your selfless service.

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

We didn't lose. The ignorant lost. We know what has happened. Personally I think John McCain Has been used as a patsy. To bring about an Obama administration.

We need to thank them and then apologize to them....

We "collectively" have not honored their sacrifice. That it not be in vain, we must continue to fight.

Profound Thanks to Those who have Served our Country

We owe them much. I hope all will be able to stay home in a safer and saner world one day. Remember, it is the "leaders" who send our heroes out to fight for us and face death and who are to blame when errors of judgment or outright corruption and false motives have sent our military to a battlefield.

I am reading Ron Paul's "A Foreign Policy of Freedom" right now and if you haven't read it, I highly recommend it as a worthwhile activity for Veterans Day. Happy Veterans Day, Dr. Paul and thank you.

THE FEDERAL RESERVE - Americas OVERLORD

It does not take a majority to prevail ... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.
