CIA?

I often wonder if the media propagandists er I mean experts on television have ties to the federal government. I've noticed over the past 20 years in my lifetime that any time any opposing view point comes on television and tries to point out true facts about the economy or government that they get attacked by 2 or 3 so called experts. The old soviet union were experts at the propaganda game. Just research pravda. There are numerous articles on the internet from even main stream sources that the CIA has infiltrated the news media. Google "project mockingbird". I'm not saying I believe that the economy will totally collapse and we will all starve to death. My main point is that to me it is obvious that any time somebody points out information to the contrary about what government reports, then they are persecuted. The American savings rate hit negative levels in 2005 the year before Peter Schiff made these predictions. That is the lowest level since the 1930's great depression. The economy has not been what Americans were used to from 1991-2000. During that time the economy expanded in 37 quarters. The technical definition of recession is typically two consecutive quarters of falling real gross national product. A depression is classified as a prolonged recession.

According to the governments definition of recession by the National Bureau of Economic Research which is: "a significant decline in economic activity spread across the economy, lasting more than a few months, normally visible in real GDP growth, real personal income, employment (non-farm payrolls), industrial production, and wholesale-retail sales." the country has had only 17 recessions since 1797 and only one since 2000. I would argue that if you count recessions by the real technical definition of 2 straight declining GDP quarters than arguably there have been way more recessions in America especially in this decade. To me recession is not a negative term and is just a definition of when the economy contracts. The economy expands and contracts all the time. But the government acts like recession is a boogie man and seems to do everything to propagandize the contrary.
