What's Been Your Soundtrack to Revolution?

0 votes

Just for a little light distraction I would like to hear what's everyone been listening to we've begun our struggle to retake the republic we once loved, and for many of us have just discovered. For me I've been listening to some old bob dylan album as background music and some bob marley to get into the feel of the moment before I start the day.

Something I think truly defines this moment in time is David bowie's scary monsters. The first track of that album really paints a picture of our current situation. The screaming voice he has got my emotions penned down when I'm arguing with friends about what's really happening in the markets and what we should do fix our broken democracy. Second track really describes the unexpected rise of freedom and its sad fall.

Anyways, what 's songs can't you get out of your head now that you've taken the red pill.

"Moreover, as America becomes an increasingly multicultural society, it may find it more difficult to fashion a consensus on foreign policy issues, except in the circumstances of a truly massive and widely perceived direct external threat."

"But, indeed, no private person has a right to complain, by suit in court, on the ground of a breach of the Constitution. The Constitution it is true, is a compact, but he is not a party to it."

"We Don't Get Fooled Again" - The Who

We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again

The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the foe, that's all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they all flown in the last war

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
No, no!

I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
For I know that the hypnotized never lie

Do ya?

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

There's nothing in the street
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Is now the parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
No, no!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

in the heat of the primaries...

this is what i had on and I couldnt believe the lyrics...

Queensryche- Revolution Calling

For a price I'd do about anything
Except pull the trigger
For that I'd need a pretty good cause
Then I heard of Dr. X
The man with the cure
Just watch the television
Yeah, you'll see there's something going on

Got no love for politicians
Or that crazy scene in D.C.
It's just a power mad town
But the time is ripe for changes
There's a growing feeling
That taking a chance on a new kind of vision is due

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
(There's a) Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

I'm tired of all this bullshit
They keep selling me on T.V.
About the communist plan
And all the shady preachers
Begging for my cash
Swiss bank accounts while giving their
Secretaries the slam

They're all in Penthouse now
Or Playboy magazine, million dollar stories to tell
I guess Warhol wasn't wrong
Fame fifteen minutes long
Everyone's using everybody, making the sale

I used to think
That only America's way, way was right
But now the holy dollar rules everybody's lives
Gotta make a million doesn't matter who dies

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
(There's a) Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?

Revolution calling

(There's a) Revolution calling

Queensryche- Speak

They've given me a mission
I don't really know the game yet
I'm bent on submission
Religion is to blame
I'm the new messiah
Death Angel with a gun
Dangerous in my silence
Deadly to my cause

Speak to me the pain you feel
Speak the word
The word is all of us

I've given my life to become what I am
To preach the new beginning
To make you understand
To reach some point of order
Utopia in mind, you've got to learn
To sacrifice, to leave what's now behind

Speak to me the pain you feel
Speak the word
The word is all of us
Speak the word
The word is all of us

Seven years of power
The corporation claw
The rich control the government, the media the law
To make some kind of difference
Then everyone must know
Eradicate the fascists, revolution will grow

The system we learn says we're equal under law
But the streets are reality, the weak and poor will fall
Let's tip the power balance and tear down their crown
Educate the masses, We'll burn the White House down

Speak to me the pain you feel
Speak to me the pain you feel
Speak the word (Revolution)
The word is all of us
Speak the word (Revolution)
The word is all of us
Speak the word
The word is all of us

Jordan Page!! Rage Against The Machine! Bob Marley!

Everyone should check out Jordan Page at www.jordanpagemusic.com or on iTunes. I first came across him when he performed at End The Fed D.C. on 22 November 08. There's a free download of a great song, Pendulum, on his page. I would highly recommend "Listen" as well as the entire Revolution EP.

Though their solutions may be misguided, it's always good to take what applies from Rage Against The Machine (RATM). "Maggie's Farm" (a Dylan remake) sums up my feelings lately and their entire first album (pre-communist days) is still amazing.

And who could leave out Bob Marley's "Small Axe" along with so much of his music. "We are the small axe!"

Bob Dylan Masters Of War

Masters Of War

Come you masters of war
You that build all the guns
You that build the death planes
You that build the big bombs
You that hide behind walls
You that hide behind desks
I just want you to know
I can see through your masks

You that never done nothin'
But build to destroy
You play with my world
Like it's your little toy
You put a gun in my hand
And you hide from my eyes
And you turn and run farther
When the fast bullets fly

Like Judas of old
You lie and deceive
A world war can be won
You want me to believe
But I see through your eyes
And I see through your brain
Like I see through the water
That runs down my drain

You fasten the triggers
For the others to fire
Then you set back and watch
When the death count gets higher
You hide in your mansion
As young people's blood
Flows out of their bodies
And is buried in the mud

You've thrown the worst fear
That can ever be hurled
Fear to bring children
Into the world
For threatening my baby
Unborn and unnamed
You ain't worth the blood
That runs in your veins

How much do I know
To talk out of turn
You might say that I'm young
You might say I'm unlearned
But there's one thing I know
Though I'm younger than you
Even Jesus would never
Forgive what you do

Let me ask you one question
Is your money that good
Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could
I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul

And I hope that you die
And your death'll come soon
I will follow your casket
In the pale afternoon
And I'll watch while you're lowered
Down to your deathbed
And I'll stand o'er your grave
'Til I'm sure that you're dead

Lyrics for: Bad Moon Rising
Send "Bad Moon Rising" Ringtone to Cell Phone
a sampling of the lyrics

I see a bad moon arising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightnin'.
I see bad times today.

Don't go around tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad moon on the rise.

I hear hurricanes a-blowing.
I know the end is coming soon.
I fear rivers overflowing.
I hear the voice of rage and ruin....

Without Freedom!

I don't think that there is any other song that sums up the Ron Paul Revolution better than this one....

Without Freedom by Doctor Sparkles
www.myspace.com/withoutfreedom

Lyrics:
"Without Freedom"

This country is circling the bowl.
Wasteful spending spins out of control.
Each dollar is debt for all that we get
When the Liberty Bell takes the toll.
Is this still the "Home of the Brave"
When fear grips with each right we waive?
Whose blood will be shed when Lady Liberty's dead
And we're digging the grave?

What will you do without freedom?
What will you have when you're owned?
What price will you pay when the USofA
Says your Bill of Rights is wrong?

We once roamed this land wild and free.
Our word was our bond and ID.
Our money was gold.
Our protests were bold
And we had our privacy.
But now there's no substance in our currency,
God-given rights replaced by privilege at a fee.
Unless you keep your license up to date,
Support your warfare-welfare state,
Register your guns and ammo,
Share your wage with Uncle Sammo,
Walk through airports over eggshells
Without shoes nailclips or hairgels,
Act in every way submissive,
Waive the flag and your rights with it,
Fear to question, follow blind,
Say "no" to plants that free your mind,
Show ID when demanded,
You'll be rounded up and branded a public enemy.

What will you do without freedom?
What will you have when you're owned?
What price will you pay when the USofA
Says your Bill of Rights is wrong?

Our Constitution was enacted to prevent
Oppression from a central government,
But we've surrendered all the powers
And liberties that once were ours
During times of dire events.
In the Civil War we lost state sovereignty.
Between the World Wars we became the enemy.
Now in this so-called "War on Terror"
It's no surprise or error
When It targets you and me.

That's why I don't trust politicians.
They're liars and backstabbers all,
But this year I made an exception.
I casted a vote for Ron Paul.
He swore an oath and I believe him.
He'll defend the Law of the Land -
These United States of America
And the Constitution for which they stand.

"There are none so blind as those who will not see. The most deluded people are those who choose to ignore what they already know." -John Heywood 1546
Dr. Ron Paul is my HERO!

Good song to get you a goin'

I purchased this song, 'If I Was A Terroist', for a mere .99 cents back in October. It's worth a million! It's located at
http://www.myspace.com/thedavidearle, and gives a great bio. This insightful man sings it in a bluesey cross between Dr. John/Harry Connick Jr. sort of way with a double dose of truth.

I got the link from Unfiltered News by G. Edward Griffin's web site. Go to the above link for a free listen, buy, share or whatever. Another avenue to get the truth out.

Thanks for all the good news on this site, long live Liberty and our God given, Bible based Costitution! Long live Ron Paul!

source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_songs_deemed_inappropri...

At a glance it appears to be a list of inspring songs, anti-war songs, protest songs, or any other song that might evoke real emotion. But wanting to censor some of them are unjustifiably bizzarre to even the strictest utilitarian.

ADD: I don't think it is any coincidence that so many of the artists on this list were already mentioned below.

hey

we got a couple songs in common :D
