Wasn't Eisenhower a CFR Member?

I look at speeches like this to be a "hail mary" and we love "hail mary's" on Ron Paul -- God have we wasted time "inspiring the troops" -- it would be nice to see dynamic action by more members (real information) - (real action) - (zeroing out mistakes from last year) - (being entrepreneurial) - (create a Consumer Union) - (Simplify Our Voting Method) - (Destroying Lobbying and Regulatory Power).

I'm working on a book that answers/shows how we "might" tackle the last 3.

The Eisenhower speech is no doubt heart felt but the damage of his "loyal service" of the elite had already been done. I remember seeing Woodrow Wilson make a appologetic speech regarding his role in 16th Amendment.

Thanks Guys :)

Wisdom is the anticipation of consequences! Tara Mata

"Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it." Thomas Paine

Eishenhower went on national TV and made that speech

to the nation, a bold move indeed.

Like these words from President Eisenhower,

Here is another ignored warning that future generations can look back on. Chilling.

That's good

Thanks for posting!

"Let it not be said that no one cared."

The Byrd speech was perhaps the most moving speech I have seen in months. Maybe it is just me though. I sent it to everyone on my list.

Misplaced power now exists.

He predicted this in 1961

And also went into more detail in his "Cross of Iron" speech.

This shows how we have

This shows how we have ignored warnings and advice over time. And today, by ignoring Ron Paul's warnings, the future of our country as our founders envisioned it, is but a long ago dream.

It's too bad that we only recognize the warnings and predictions after they come to be.

End the Fed.

Most people don't appreciate what an act of moral courage

this speech was for a military man to come out and make such a warning against the industry that he had served his entire career!
