Is the way to break the hold of the global bankers have on us just to close our own bank accounts?
If they need our money to continue and we don't provide it to them, will the world banking conglomerate evaporate like a block of dry ice?
I'm sure I'll hear from someone about how dry ice doesn't evaporate so SHUT UP. Try to stay on topic.
If our beef is with the global mega-banks and they survive though our constant financing of their enterprises... do we have to power to shut them down?

Stop Feeding the Beast
Best way to kill something is to starve it. I finally came to the conclusion that I just need to stop giving my money away in taxes. I need to pay off my student loan. It is the only debt I have and I am working on it diligently. I am thinking that taking a lower paying job and livng frugally will put me in a situation where I pay fewer taxes. We only need food, water, shelter and clothing. If I need books there is the library or I can swap with friends. This is not an elegant solution but the government is completely out of control. It is too risky to try tax protest but, living poor, I don't have anything they can take from me.
I just got done working for the federal government as a contract administrative assistant. I was there for a year and three months. With everyday that passed, I got more and more disgusted. The arrogance and waste in that office was unbelievable. Those bureaucrats really thought they were the center of the universe. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I can tell you that the people I worked with have no idea that the government is bankrupt. They really believe that they will retire with secure benefits. I think they are completely cut off from reality.

You cant stop at just closing the account..no..you need to shut down all lines of credit you have..including your house if your paying on it...and your car
Cash in those stocks and bonds...Insurance policys?? They have to go too...Student loans also would need to be 0.00...Shopping at the big name stores...got to stop.
You see..the banks are just the door....not all robbers use the door..some use the windows...so EVERYTHING would have to be haulted within 3 to 6 months..all across the board...State and Federal tax must not be paid..you would have to completely stop ''feeding the machine''
This could mean to teach us a lesson..they cut off a few things too..like..power...water..gas and food suply...
Think carefully about the steps you all take....
I myself..(do not own stocks/bonds) believe the first step..charges...even if the courts toss them out..we can tie them up....not just crimminal courts..civil...and if 1 court goes along with any of it..that in itself sets
pressident for all other courts in the country.
Also..now I dont understand much about the stock market and how to get a business on it.,.but I believe those who are faithful to the movement who can join together...get a business or 5 going..get them on the stock exchange...and there is where we invest..sounds weird but...I think that would send a message to the world
I also believe the pain to them..needs to start at local levels...Stores..gas stantions and so on down the line...(picket or pass out flyers reading XXX Station on XXX Road supports the murder of our sonsand daughters in Iraq).........(WALMART Supports the CFR)...JUST EXAMPLES PEOPLE
I think the back lash would get the congress and senate, for each state , to really start paying attention...Do you think they would have police show up and drag you to Sears..holding a gun to your head saying..you must by that toaster?

I will offer to pay my staff members in cash each week, rather than by check. But it will still be in US Dollars.
My clients still pay by check, so I will still have to go to the bank to deposit the checks and get cash.
Maybe it will be economical to establish a bill-paying coop that gives bill-paying services to its members while moving US dollars through as fast as possible and investing the remainder in gold. I worry about sales taxes and capital gains taxes. With high price inflation, gains in dollar prices of gold will not be real gains, they will simply reflect dollar depreciation. But capital gains taxes will still be due.

You'd have to go the next step and stop spending money altogether.
Although, it is very freeing to not use a bank. I like knowing that if the bank closed I can still get stuff. And it's cool to pay cash and OWN things.
I highly recommend trying it just to see, maybe it will impact them, it's worth a shot. I've been bankless personally for 15 years and have no trouble. I just took my biz off the radar a few weeks ago, no trouble yet.

Well I try as much as possible,
and only keep in as much as I need to for materials for my business, which requires using a bank account. (or credit card, which I don't). They make it hard, although my materials are half way across the country, and if I sent an order with a money order, I wouldn't get the business, because it would take so long. However, I buy eggs, milk from farmers with cash, and other foods, and also buy 90 percent of household items and clothes etc. at yard sales with cash.

What I did was sent a MO, ahead of my regular order before I went off the bank. I did it three times before they told me I could pay net 30 with no credit check.

Before the TARP legislation passed,
I probably would have agreed that this would help. Now, banks no longer need reserves to stay in business, so I'm not sure. It may be the first time in the history of the earth that a business can exist without a customer base to service.

Already, since we seem to lose a few banks per weekend, I only deposit money when I have to pay a bill. It gets deposited and I mail the check.
Other than that, I don't keep a balance in the account.

How true that is. My buddy told me since he voted for Obama the economy is going to get better and now he feels is a good time to start buying on credit again, Guess what he wants to buy........A LCD big screen. On credit. Right after he just got out of debt.
Yes, depressing I know,
but I will hope a lot of people think that way for a while so they will hire my and my husband's business so we can get out of our business debt. Hate to think of it that way, and would prefer just rich people to hire us, but they seem to be smarter and aren't spending their money.

I then added we should shut down the Departments of Education, Homeland Security, and Energy. Her reply to that was, the children in Alabama wouldn't get a good education without the federal government being involved?!?!
I gave up at that point. Someone once told me that I can't save them all. Some will go down without a life boat.
