RP starting to get hammered hard by the blogosphere

EDITED TO REMOVE HYPERLINKS. NO NEED TO FEED THE FIRE

I know we've seen it coming hard, but RP is starting to get hammered hard by the blogosphere, on the right and left.

I want to develop a series of solid responses to all the crud they are throwing his way.

http:// dneiwert.blogspot.com/2007/11/ron-pauls-record-in-congress .html

http:// www. americandaily.com/article/20911

These two have about as much venom as I think anyone can throw at him.

Alot of people will be divided on his views, as they tend to fall between party lines. If we win the battle for hearts and minds, then they look past what they disagree with and see a solid candidate. If we don't then they see an ideological loon. This must be done.

Maybe even a set of Fox News style talking points to quickly respond to every charge....

Funny

One is about how he is not liberal enough and the other is about him being too liberal. Hmmm, could it be that he is actually succeeding at uniting left and right for the better as Americans?

This just proves the point

This just proves the point that people are finally seeing that Ron Paul is for real and could possibly turn this election year on its head. In all honesty, I pretty much ignore most news on Ron Paul and treat him like I do investing. I only look at the stock I own once a quarter to assess how well it is performing. If we look at Paul's progression he has had excellent growth and I foresee continued growth. Every now and then a stock will take a hit on bad news, but once they issue their quarterly report and show they have beat street estimates the stock will see a positive track.

I personally, have taken the time to research Paul's issues to identify the pros and cons vice being whipped up by what some fool on a Blog site perpetuates in his/her writing about Dr. Paul. All this ballyhoo with Paul being associated with white-power groups is funny to me. I am sure if we teamed up our brain power and social networking forces as we could delve into each and every candidate’s supporters and find very disturbing things about them. Everybody has skeletons hidden in their closet.

I know what I have said may disturb some of you here, but I have far more important things to worry about than what is being said about Dr. Paul. Dr. Paul is possibly the only candidate who takes the time to eloquently defend his position on numerous issues...very akin to our forefathers. I am not sure if anyone has read Dr. Paul's latest essay over at antiwar.com, very strong essay and a worthwhile read

In the words of Clausewitz, “If the leader is filled with high ambition and if he pursues his aims with audacity and strength of will, he will reach them in spite of all obstacles.”

Check out the tared in mu own hometown..

My point here is NOT to perpetuate this crap...

But at a point we HAVE to respond to these filth-bags whenever they trample on our OWN threads:

http://forums.theledger.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2631062365/m/...

Folks, it's getting kicked up a notch, and we're gonna have to FIGHT.

We're gonna have to sit up like men and take a stand.

Although i agree we should be as polite as we can, but we HAVE to call these freaks out.

YES I'm angry ------just like the people who go to footballl games all painted, screaming and yelling.......but that's somehow ok.

Google Alerts Ron Paul

The only way we even have a clue about what some obscure "no-life" blogger thinks about anything is when we are constantly alerted to even the slightest reference to our hero via google alerts. Then we all get excited, publish a new forum topic about the dastardly smear (complete with hyperlinks), then rush to their blog to give them our two cents worth. If it wasn't for Paul supporters visiting their site, they wouldn't get any web traffic. They would be forced to give up, and fade away, back to their mother's basement, because nobody but us reads their crud.

Personally, I get about forty+ Ron Paul Google alerts every day. IMHO, we encourage these anti-Paul clowns. So, stop encouraging them.

Remember this. The status quo (warfare state) has a great deal to lose if Ron Paul gets elected. They also know that if RP gets elected, many of them may be tried for treason. Do you expect them to go down without a whimper? .

I predict blogs will die in a few years.

Nobody really pays much attention to ill-thought spewage.

Even well planned blogs come off on the chitty pretentious side....like the phd at work you just can't seem to turn off because he lacks common sense.

I'd rather read forums and have a chance to converse with people.

dare we hope?

they're like journalists but with even lower standards and happy to pass all that fluff off as gospel.

blogs v newsgroups

Forget Blogs, No one does care. The only reason anyone hit those blogs is because they had Ron Paul in the Title. These are tactics designed to eat up our energy. Use it to spread the message. The internet is to co-ordinate.

GO TO NEWSGROUPS. Join Pro Life Newsgroups and hit them with his plan to essentially wipe out Roe v Wade with a pen instead of using the possiblity of appointing conservative judges and someday in our lifetime getting it repealed. Usually Pro Lifers are religous.

Using that piece of information you can trump Huckabee or anyone else on pro life. When they stand before G-d will they be shown all the children that were killed because they did not go to the primary and vote for Ron Paul. They will not be judged on what someone else does, so the argument of "electability" does not apply heaven.

Financial newsgroups hit with forieng policy. Green Enviormental hit with the industrial hemp which legalizing hemp is the #1 thing any president can do for the enviorment.

Cooking Groups care about inflation! Hispanics and Immigrant groups care about protecting their wages and don' like illegal immigration.

Get the point.

PEOPLE JOIN GROUPS BECAUSE THEY HAVE A INTEREST.

BLOGGERS ARE WAISTING OUR TIME RESPONDING TO BS. IT WASTE ENERGY.

GO TO THE PEOPLE...
DEC 5, CELEBRATE THE END OF PROHIBITION, HIT THE PUBS AND SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE TEA PARTY, JUST LIKE IN THE DAYS OF SAM ADAMS.

Remember when blogs were irrelevant and everybody had one?

Seriously, it was like a few months ago. Because somebody has a computer and an Internet connection suddenly they're Mickey Spillane?

Haha, so true. I've always

Haha, so true. I've always found bloggers to be rather pretentious. I've started a few blogs on various interests, but I always abandon them after a few posts, because I am intelligent enough to understand that NOBODY CARES! And I'm fine with that, in fact I'm thrilled by it! Why SHOULD anyone care what some random person thinks about the price of eggs?

Blogs are overwhelmingly annoying, but the relatively minuscule handful that are closer to journalism than kitchen-table banter are a valuable resource. I seek those ones out.

Wonkette

I know it's a satire blog about man on man sex and bathroom humor. Still, Wonkette said today they're going all Redstate on Ron Paul.

I see this as part and

I see this as part and parcel to being a polarizing and interesting popular figure. Oddly enough, it's a good thing.

The Paulunteer - Grassroots Newsletter

Flak Always the Heaviest Over the target

That's good news. Ron Paul is no longer being ignored. He is being attacked. That means that he is now being perceived as dangerous to the globalist, special interests.

Every attack just keeps his name in the news. Fortunately, Dr. Paul has raised quite a bit of money. He is able to get his true message out. The attacks only generate interest. When people are interested, they will listen to what he has to say.

The flak is always the heaviest over the target.

we are smarter

The actively ignorant backlash we are seeing to Ron Paul's campaign is relegated to a few spammers in some sort of a bot-net. Being an artificially intelligent being explains why the anti-Paul bot-net has a very small intellectual capacity to debate issues.

They understand politics in their one-dimensional, binary, minds as issues of "Right or Left." They worship idols like the demagogue candidates, and obey commanders on Fox News, instead of commandments and constitutions. Their loyalty, which they wrongly brand as patriotism, is a virtue they hold above striving for truth and only serves to perpetuate bad ideas and bad ideals. They believe that "war on terror" is a legitimate branding for our foreign incursions. To them, terrorism is a abstraction re-enforced by xenophobia and moving pictures, not a reality like the rockets that get shot at my family in Israel.

These people bear false witness with misguided righteousness and represent precisely the sort of minds we need to open to the seemingly lost ideal of Liberty.

Don't Even Bother With Them.

Didn't even bother to look. Our task is to get out on the street and be seen, that is what brings people around, since it makes them feel they are not alone in their beliefs.

Followup

Just as a followup, I thought I'd mention that Lew Rockwell's site has attacks from Glenn Beck and some fellow at The Weekly Standard. This is going to pick up, not drop off. We need to be ready to fill any friendly ear in the media with responses.

If he is getting bashed by

If he is getting bashed by the left and the right, he is obviously doing something right.

I thought the same thing

The top site claims Ron Paul is too far right, while the bottom says he's too far left.

They Don't Deserve A Response.

These are well know yellow journalist sites and they do not warrant the page views. I plan to stay away from these types of parasitic websites who only want RP supporters to push up their numbers.

Bingo

The fastest way to get attention on the web is to post anti-RP and link to it from here or other RP sites.

Stay way from attention hounds out for eyeballs, don't feed the fire.

This is the first shot...in a long war

The American Daily is purely a hit piece, few real facts and much BS. The other has more substance or so it seems...I tend to feel you'll be hearing more from this one in questions from reporters.

However, these hardly differ from what he is saying, if anything it demonstrates he is consistant. The problem is the interpretation... What needs to be stressed is the constitution...Where is it in the constitution that we support the UN for example? Or give away our sovereignty? He sticks to the constitution!

Passing Gas

Hammered? I hardly think so. This is the same smoke they've been blowing all along: all gas and no substance. We continue to get stronger the more they publish this obvious drivel. Americans are smart enough to see through that mess.

What a hoot!

Publish a comprehensive list of sponsored bills and resolutions,
but neglect to take the time to read them.
I'll bet at least 3 folks over there read through that list.
We'll see them here in about a week!

My vote would be NOT to bother with them.

Most of these blogs have very, very, very few readers. Do NOT feed them traffic or comments, or waste your time.

Instead, get off the computer for part of your time and spend more time telling others about Ron Paul, distrubuting literature, etc. (Speaking of which, I've spent too much time on the 'puter today, and I need to get ready and get out there again this afternoon myself!)

Also, *IF* you link to them (especially from a high-ranking site like Daily Paul) all you are really doing is boosting their Google Page Rankings -- which means they will be read by MORE people.

Instead, if you ignore them, then when people "Google Ron Paul" they will mostly hit good or neutral sites... and these minor and completely unimportant blogs will be on Google Results page # 5379.

BTW, if you DO link to these things here or in your own blogs, be SEO savvy, and label them appropriately (i.e. without "Ron Paul" in the title or linked text.) -- essentially, if they are linked to at all, they need to be "Google Bombed" as "nonsense", "misleading" etc.

We all need to be more SEO (search-engine-optimization) savvy. Because of our numbers, that is one of the things they are MOST afraid of: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/what-if-the-ron-paul-fans-became-seo-savvy

WRellim

Very good post. I also read the seomoz link. Very informative for a un-savvy person like me. I recommend this article and this practice. Very smart indeed.

Very good post. Internet is

Very good post. Internet is important, but I believe, that this medium is already owned :) Now it's time to reach the majority of the people "outside".
Good points about SEO. As I see more and more people becoming pro bloggers (that is, living from ads on their blogs etc), I have a feeling, that some of them try any possible way to boost their site traffic. They probaby don't really care if you'll read their post. What matters is, that you've visited their site. And if you also linked to it then even better.

So I would follow WRellim advice. Do not link and if you really really have to, make an appropriate title for the link, so that you don't bury Ron Paul search results.
