Ron Paul’s “2009/2010 College Tour for Freedom”
I have been thinking about this for some time and it seems to make more sense every time I think about it. What better place to raise the idea than at the Daily Paul?
Let’s give President Obama and the Democrats six months to continue the “same old, same old” bigger-than-ever governmental intervention into our lives. Maybe by then people will be already asking themselves “This is the “change” that I voted for?”
This is where Ron Paul steps back into the picture (he never left) and what a better place to start than at the college campuses of the US. The college campuses were the nidus for foreign policy and other changes in the 1960’s and 1970’s and could be so again. We already know that Dr. Paul can draw a crowd as he has already spoken to packed auditoriums at major universities during the primary campaign. This time the format should be geared specifically to students with slides during the presentation and handouts at the end. That is what students are used to. It should be the same speech at each college with a 10 or 12 Point Plan to Restore the Republic (or similar). I think that slides with graphs, charts, data and quotes are important because much, if not most, of what Dr. Paul says is being heard, sadly, for the first time. When I listen to Dr. Paul, I sometimes wish that he would elaborate on a point that he assumes that we all know, and we don’t. Just think about that powerful slide that shows how inflation was non-existent for the many years that gold was $20/ounce and then what happened after governmental meddling and eventually abandoning the gold standard. Students need to learn that the Federal Government is most often the problem, not the solution. The states are quite capable of managing their own affairs. The “tour” goal should be at least one college in each state during the 2009-10 school year. It could have an impact on the mid-term elections and, hopefully, a big impact in 2012. Whether Dr. Paul is up to it, I don’t know, but I think that this is an idea worth exploring, don't you?

great idea
I was talking about a similar thing last year a Ron Paul and Jesse Ventura cross country speaking tour....for freedom-to awake the sheep.

This idea is fantastic

For the morning coffee crowd.
Great Idea!
I'd only add Ron Paul should make as many state fairs as possible, the crowds are already there.
I posted this 7 months ago
and it is timely to bring it up again. Obama and the dems have had their way the past 6-7 months and we are going down the tubes fast. Let's get the campuses rocking for Dr. Paul.
This is already a done deal!!
www.umfreedom.com watch Adam Kokesh at our Peace Rally on 11-13-08 we were told that old miss u is at the top of the list for Ron Paul to come and speak!!
Maybe a DVD?
That sounds expensive and time consuming for a Congressman trying to do his job. How about a well-produced DVD with all the aforementioned participants having their own 10-20 minute segment. This could be shown by a local C4L member.
Just a thought.
I thought about that.
But it is so much more meaningful to see/hear the speaker in person. Ever go to a closed circuit sporting event? Isn't the same. A dollar or two for admission would probably cover all costs. Dr. Paul had a rather busy speaking schedule during the primaries, but he always looked great. He must be in excellent health. The time commitment is an issue, but.....
10 colleges?
How about 10,000? And not just Ron Paul, but Jesse Benton, Jesse Ventura, Willie Jones, Tommy Cryer, Adam Kokesh, G. Edward Griffin, the list goes on and on.
Colleges is where we need to impact just like in the sixties. The NWO has been using the colleges to push their socialist agendas for a long time. For the past twenty years they've been pushing the global warming lie and alot of people drank the kool-aid.

Suggestion was one college in each state during that time,
but having all those spokespersons would be even better!
Any more opinions?

Great idea! Let's keep this idea alive!
A friend's son in college could not vote for either candidate this year, and I applauded his opinion. There are many smart young collegians out there ready to hear these truths! Let the Revolution continue!
Great idea!
