Snip it of what Huckabee mentions about Ron Paul, in his new book....

I guess Huckabee is now an authority on the Republican party being the "conservative" that he is. I will not be purchasing his book.

Here it is:
In a chapter titled "Faux-Cons: Worse than Liberalism," Huckabee identifies what he calls the "real threat" to the Republican Party: "libertarianism masked as conservatism." He is not so much concerned with the libertarian candidate Ron Paul's Republican supporters as he is with a strain of mainstream fiscal-conservative thought that demands ideological purity, seeing any tax increase as apostasy and leaving little room for government-driven solutions to people's problems. "I don't take issue with what they believe, but the smugness with which they believe it," writes Huckabee, who raised some taxes as governor and cut deals with his state's Democratic legislature. "Faux-Cons aren't interested in spirited or thoughtful debate, because such an endeavor requires accountability for the logical conclusion of their argument." Among his targets is the Club for Growth, a group that tarred Huckabee as insufficiently conservative in the primaries and ran television ads with funding from one of Huckabee's longtime Arkansas political foes, Jackson T. Stephens Jr.

I hate when they refer to Ron Paul as the Libertarian candidate. It feels pretty intentional to me. This is just sickening when they misrepresent the truth.

What about devils masked

as pastors, what does he think about them? He needs to look in the mirror. I think he is a despicable human being for riding on the false idea that he is some kind of religious man. I think God would spit in his face.

"How can we justify to the unemployed and underemployed in the United States the incredible cost of maintaining a global empire?" - Dr. Ron Paul

Just as we all suspected-

his corrupt nature expressed in writing- Remember the Judicial watch Top 10?
Ron Paul was right, the party left him, not the other way around.

Poor Huck,

he doesn't know he's a washed-up has-been......He thinks he's very entertaining.

I tried to watch his show on Faux just so I could make fun of it, but I couldn't get through it. Had to just go on and change the channel....Pitiful.

He'll probably continue to show up as a "guest political commentator" on Faux after they finally put his show out of it's misery, but I don't really expect to see him back on the political scene....

Hucka-Who?

Isn't he some loser talk show host?

Huck the Schmuck

I can't stand him.

Unbelievable that

Unbelievable that Libertarianism is a threat to the Republican party and not Neocons. Republicans who are not aware of some Libertarian views will read Hucks comment and run with it. Before you know Libertarians are bad weed them out while the party is highjacked by the likes of a Bill Kristol, Sean Hannity, and moderates and rhinos, oh and Mike Huckabee.

Huckleberry....

has a show on Fox, that should
tell you where he is coming from.
I liked him better when he was fat.

Was that all before he

Was that all before he decided on his own to "Shape up Arkansas" :) making a safe haven for illegal immigrants in LR and screwing over school nutrition menus for future generations? I sure was glad I had gotten out of school before his plans took affect.

Sad thing was, I met him at Boy's State my Junior year in HS, he seems like a nice guy and can do impersonations of people. He just has too many faults, and would never be on our side unfortunately.

Uhhh....

So where does Huckabee mention Dr. Paul as "The Libertarian Candidate"?

Line 4 Libertarian candidate

Line 4
Libertarian candidate Ron Paul's supporters vs. Republican candidate Ron Paul's supporters........And if I misinterpret it or have misread it, less informed will do the same thing using word association. He painted Libertarianism is more dangerous than liberalism to the Republican party. Followed afterwards with ....libertarian candidate Ron Paul's supporters........

Romney/Huckabee will be the GOP ticket in 2012

That'a a great prediction

And sad too. Romney has the money to start the campaign machine from now through 2012 and I bet anything he's gonna do it.

It's kinda strange though that he's laying very low. The media hates him probably...

Romney is most likely to hear the truth

It would be cool if he adopted Paul's principles.

Oh no offense to

Oh no offense to Libertarians because I actually am a Republican with Libertarian views. I think they are trying to discredit Ron Paul with Republicans by stating he isn't a Republican because he is the Libertarian candidate.

Dom, old school

Dom, old school republicanism is largely the same as modern-day libertarianism. It's very likely the LP would never exist if the GOP stuck to its original platform.

I would say if it had stuck

I would say if it had stuck to its 1952 Platform, not its original...it seems that it has returned to its original 1860s platform of big government, intervention, centralization and mercantilism!
