Huck is passing us in fundraising?

We need a tiny boost today, and not allow Huck to beat us:

Lets chip in $25 to get ahead and not give him any reason to gloat.

Update: just to put things into perspective, here is the graph for overall Q4 fundraising.

Why is this still going?

Why is this still going? What's with the continuous fuss over Huck.

FOCUS ON OUR GOALS NOT HUCKS!

They have started a campaign

that allows mail in donors to let their donations be listed on the website tally. So, rather than having one big amount with all the mail in donations, they are letting them trickle in and be counted so it looks like they are getting lots of online donations and gets people excited about meeting their 2 million goal.

Hows it counted

Could these be donations collected over several days but not posted until now?

All Paul Please

Right now just talk about Ron Paul. Huck is posting good numbers in Iowa and I think romney will begin attacking Huck's past actions. Romney should have no problem discrediting Huck.
So lets talk Ron Paul up so that Huck's supporters will know to call on Paul.

daily huck

pathetic how no one goes to his site to talk about him.

Huck Rumor?

I heard that Huck used his previous campaign finances to furnish his home? Is there any validity in that?

If it's true I don't know why anyone would donate to his campaign.

a moot point

His fundraising numbers will be completely moot once we drop our Fiat Money Bomb on the RP campaign.

"Make fun buddy..." - Ron Paul

saw a copy of newsweek tonight at the convenience store

with a very flattering article on Huckabee - referenced on the cover! The mainstream is really propping up the Huckster so we need to be prepared to show conservatives that he IS NOT the answer.

there are two huckabee

there are two huckabee articles in that issue - one of them is just some dude talking to huck about playing bass, it pissed me off

The Huckster Bullet Points

1. Raised taxes in Arkansas higher than any other previous governor even Bill Clinton. Even raised taxes on nursing home beds.

2. Made Arkansas a sanctuary state for illegal immigrants - his record is worse than John McCains and Giuliani

3. Personally pushed the release of a convicted rapist, who 6 weeks later
killed a woman in Missouri.

Get Rid of This Thread

Concentrate on Dr. Paul and his message and spreading it.

The statement "Huck is passing us" is a NLP form of psychological warefare. We have a Tokyo Rose Among Us.

Relax alittle,

because this is a long journey, and we just got on the interstate.

I think that the GOP heads are purchasing poll numbers to draw a picture to their desires. The money you see coming in for the huckster reflects the large "push" from the party leadership.

Chill out, he will blow his foot off.

I think the truth of the matter is found in the round table discussion from New Hampshire.

Prayer Changes Things

Mike Huckabee has a lot of faithful Christians praying for him and the success of his campaign. We Christians who support Dr. Paul should continue doing the same. God always blesses those who call on His name and seek His will. I suggest that we take our financial successes in this "Ron Paul Revolution" and ask that God would multiply it for His glory. I think Huckabee's supporters understand this well, and I believe that's why he's been doing so well in recent fundraising numbers (with lots of help from the media, I might add).

We should not be concerned about Mike Huckabee's campaign, my fellow revolutionaries. We have our own campaign to focus on now. That's what's important.

I'm praying too.

I do believe that Ron Paul is doing MUCH better than Huck in every way. Huck is not doing well with his fund raising - no way - not compared to Ron Paul. And, despite some of the polls, we know RP is doing much better. Everywhere I go I read and hear of Independents and Democrats and Libertarians as well as Republicans supporting Ron Paul - there is no poll that can accurately display how well RP is doing.

i'm a Christian!!

And I believe that most folks who have a strong belief in jesus christ and the things he said.. would support Dr. Ron Paul..

why?

Because his integrity and honesty are unparalled by ANY of the other Candidates...

Christ was humble... and he lauded those that were humble.. and shamed those that sought glory from others and those that sought to hold themselves out to be more RELIGOUS and therefore better..

Read the New Testament... its all in there... :-)

May God Bless the efforts of Dr. Ron Paul

Lets Get Going!

Huckabee is a real threat. He is polling well with little money.

His Christian supporters do not understand that he is not a conservative.
Thats where you and I come in. We must tell every one about Ron Paul and how he is much more Christian and Much more conservative then Huck.

Huckabee has asked for tax increases as governor, he plays songs in his band that do not promote family values, He supports the department of education and did not support homeschoolers well as governor.
War is not the traditional position of the Christian either. The Christian is called to be a peacemaker by Christ both individually and in our government. Thats right it's our government as in "We the People".

So we the people better get the message out fast because the days are short and the night is at hand.

We need to be winning here!

I understand the benefit of having dilluted pro-war support, but at the same time, there's a very real danger it could get concentrated around him. He's pulling his own support, and he's pulling in support from Fred. He needs to not be allowed to build serious momentum. If he runs away with Iowa, you know the story that the MSM runs. It doesn't matter that Rudy McRompson loses, if Paul isn't the one that wins.

I'm donating something now. It took us 3 weeks to get to 4 million, and that was before this storm of media coverage. We should be able to get 6.5 easy in that time with new support. The trick is going to be keeping it up to stay competitive in the meantime, and not letting a far away goal distract. We need to stay on course to win!

He hasn't even hit half million!

Um, with a little less than $485,000 for the Q, I doubt very much Huck is passing us in fundraising.

You're looking at the wrong

You're looking at the wrong graph or something. He's raised $1.5M so far this Q and his slope is rising:

http://ronpaulgraphs.com/huckabee_oct_total.html

And I don't think the issue is that he will ever catch up to us. He's about a quarter too late for that, but that he will have enough money to make a stand in a single state like IO where he is reported doing real well.

Huck is the real threat -- here's why

I have a Christian homeschool mom friend who is very anti-NWO and has been politically active in my state for many years, but is barely online; she checks her email now and then and that's about it. When I started telling her about Ron Paul, she had hardly heard of him. She told me if Huckabee had a chance, she'd have to think it over; she said to me -- and I quote -- "He is awesome."

Now, trust me, *I* don't need proof that that's not so -- but she does. And I suspect there are millions more just like her. That's where I think this money is coming from -- plus some well-heeled CFR types who are using Huck as the anti-Paul force in the primary.

BTW Jane, the graph at ronpaulgraphs.com shows Huck's Q4 total at around $2M now. Not sure where you got your figure but he's pulled in close to $60k so far today; he's certainly getting the $ needed to run TV ads in early primary states. So he's going to be around and we're going to need to deal with that. Does that mean a change in tactics? Maybe, maybe not. But don't fool yourself into brushing him off. He has no chance in the general, but the GOP didn't earn the nickname "the stupid party" for nothing.

Some of the comments I've read in this thread bother me. People seem to think merit = victory. If that were true there wouldn't even be a Ron Paul REVOLution, because we'd never have been plagued with Bushes and Clintons in the first place. No, the CFR influence is very strong within the Matrix; our task is formidable. If the CFR throws its weight behind Huck, and pulls the I.V. from the arms of the other posers, things could be quite tough for us in the primary. Again, don't overestimate Americans' tendencies in the "doing our homework" category! We seem to enjoy being deluded with false promises and glitzy photo ops.

Huckabee represents basically all that we are in the process of flushing out of our party: allegiance to Israel due to misreading of the Bible; dedication to Bush and his pro-war isolationism; continuing to ignore the Fed and its thievery; promises to enforce moral mandates on the people via the fedgov; glib pretense that membership in the GOP is equivalent to support for the Constitution (because "liberals" are the *real* enemies of the Constitution, don't ya know); ignorance of the CFR and its purposes and influence; etc. He is abhorrent to me, but that's because I logged on and educated myself. I know tons of Republicans who would gladly support Huckabee over the clearly unconservative Giuliani, the dubious Romney, the worn-out McCain or the thud dud CFRaud Thompson -- and certainly over that weird guy who all the liberals love, who always blames America and Bush for everything.

Ever since the CFR published a Huckabee foreign policy speech, I've seen this campaign as between him and the correct choice. The others have all failed to catch on despite massive funding and exposure (well, there are Tancredo, Hunter and Keyes, but they have no momentum of any kind). We would be smart to treat Huckabee as our most important rival at this point, IMO.

I recommend doing even more of what we're already doing, plus keeping our eyes and ears peeled for further innovative strategies. I don't suggest we get negative toward Huckabee, but it wouldn't hurt to bone up on some info about him, including head to head comparisons of where he and Ron agree and disagree and why -- and his record *is* fair game, although it should always be presented factually without editorializing to try to score points beyond the straight facts. Let the record speak for itself. If it doesn't seem to, research further to be able to present more info. Never go beyond what you can clearly document.

I suggest we (someone capable, that is) create a flash widget similar to the fundraising ones, but capable of displaying progress in canvassing precincts. Make it capable of showing any precinct, or any congressional district, based off of a master database which would be tended by a few meetup organizers or other trusted members volunteering their time to do it. Let each group take their city or area and parcel it out into precincts, then internally track their progress within each precinct, reporting finished precincts to the master database. We can turn the USA red -- or some other color? -- one precinct at a time! :-) I think that would provide some excellent incentive toward a very important goal.

Bottom line: we're gaining, but so is Huckabee; don't assume anything. Work work work!! And have fun, of course. That's mandatory, after all. ;-)
