Where is a good place to live outside of the US?

My husband and I are thinking about moving outside of the US when our last son graduates from high school in 2010. I know that the New World Order controls the whole planet but I think here in America we are sitting ducks. Any ideas besides tuck your head between you knees and kiss your ass goodbye?

I'm with you...

Self reliance is KING!!! (I'm not sure where to go, but, I'm willing and able) Maybe we should start a group.
(Not Jim Jones type, though...)

Every few weeks there is a thread about relocation abroad...

so I answer with the ideal location and offer assistance...but no one ever moves !!! Is this just more internet dribble...or are folks finally coming to understand that time is running out ?

Think about it, man. Job market is decent, no state income tax, you're personal info isn't put in a Real ID database, the Patriot Act isn't recognized up there.

I gave it a little rethink.

I gave it a little rethink. The problems we face today are global in scale. The problem is everyones problem. Canada shares a great many of the global problems but particularly the geographic one. Many Canadians are privy to the NWO. Many will not do down without a fight. Strength in numbers... They are our brothers and sisters in this. If the SHTF then amass at the border. That is one possibility.

Under the threat of state sponsored bio-terror... Seclusion might be preferred.

"Moreover, as America becomes an increasingly multicultural society, it may find it more difficult to fashion a consensus on foreign policy issues, except in the circumstances of a truly massive and widely perceived direct external threat."

Costa Rica (but a bit yuppy for my tastes)

Of course, I look at remote places for a self-reliant lifestyle...not everyones' cup of tea...but depending what yours is...

REMOTE, but not isolated, like an island. the key is resource self reliance.

Paraguay!

At least GW and Laura think so. They purchased 98,500 acres there, right next to the ol' reverend moons' property. Come on fellow Paulites, wouldn't you just love living next to the man!

Let’s go there. How ’bout it? ;-)

LOL, I guess you are right,

especially if you want to run from the law. It appears that Paraguay is one of the few countries without an agreement with the USA to have criminals returned to their own country.

this naiveté is astounding

You go through an immigration process to emigrate anywhere.

for those of you dreaming of Central America - ever hear of MS 13?
-spawned in nicaragua - tentacles throughout Central America
and when the US is weakened, gringos will be prime targets.

Jimmy Buffett and "Cowboy in the jungle" is not the current reality.

at least you speak the language and are not vulnerable to shakedowns here

stand your ground on your home turf.

Ah…let us alone. With this economy, dreaming is is we’ve got.

Right? ;-]

Dominican rep

does not have those guys, but we have some deported bad boys back down here. Ironically, they are real mellow when they get kicked out of the states.

Freedom may be worth searching for.

I have given up on my fellow Americans, (not DPers) as I will not shed one more calorie trying to awaken anyone else who is not a critical thinker and does not have the inherent feeling that something is wrong.

This is what I have written about Dominican Republic

I still live here if you have any questions. If you can buy a house and car in cash, make about 2 grand a month preferably on the internet. YOUR SET.

Wherever you can find a job

I am moving to Wales. (but only for a year or two). I'm coming back wealthier and am going to help out with rebuilding the country.

Get away for a bit? That sounds like an excellent idea.

My Room

I own an adult chat room...(I will not put the link up because Im sure a few would be offended)
The regulars in my room are from the USA-Canada-Rep. of Ireland-Australia-the UK...but I have met many from around the world who drop by time to time.
Those I get a chance to speak to in detail...they are all facing the same problems we are in one degree or another. Everyone agrees the governments of the world have gone way to far...most throw up their hands and just dont care...Its a shame.
I do direct them to the DP...and those who read it love it...I hope they pass it on...

The Big Eye Land

The Island of Hawai'i: it's like a whole 'nother planet.

Also, Hawaiian Nationalists are trying to leave the US, and take their land with them. They could be benign fellow travellers, although many of them (judging from their rhetoric) are racists and marxists.

As always, the enemy of my enemy is often a strategically useful ally.

2 Friends moved to the Big Island of Hawaii

and both said it was like living in a 3rd World country. There is no trash pick-up, you have to drive your garbage to the dump. The social scene is also centered on the dump: islanders meet at the water-bottle fill-up station. No one dares drink the tap-water, and some people get sick from the rainfall-catchment basin water when they use it to take showers. Cell phone service is crappy, and there are no LAN lines, little DSL, most people are stuck with dial-up modem internet service if they can get on-line at all. You also have to fly to Honolulu for health care if you need surgery or to consult a medical specialist in any field. It also rains more than in Seattle, and people get Volcanic Ash Alerts several times a year. Then there's the lava....

Nope

You're wrong about a couple of things, comrade. Average rain fall in Seattle is almost double that of Hawaii. See for yourself at the weather.com links below. There is trash pickup everywhere but in rural areas. Cel phone service is crappy in rural areas in Indiana and Illinois too.

I'm talking windward side of the Big Island

near Hilo, not the statewide average (which is skewed on account of leeward areas always receiving scant rain compared to windward areas of the same island).

this is a big problem I have with the Hawai`ian nationalism

If a haole (or anybody) honestly wants to learn hawaiian and live the hawaiian way, then you should recocognize them as kanaka. Spirit of culture is not limited by blood, and the hawaiians have long had a tradition of `ohana. The last straw was when Kamehameha schools refused to accept a young woman who was adopted into a Hawaiian family at age three, because she had no hawaiian blood.

1/32 is pretty dilute, anyways... I'm going to intentionally be offensive here: I know people who went to kamehameha who were whiter than wonderbread.

What everyone should understand

is that people from all countries can throw their "issues" in a bowl, and when they understand the way things are in other countries, they will QUICKLY take their own issues back.

Our issues or problems follow us everywhere - they just take on different names and places.

The U.S. is STILL the best place to live and letting your life pass you by because you believe the NWO is coming tomorrow, is a BIG waste of time.

The fact they've been at it for a hundred plus years is enough reason to believe they may never get it accomplished!

They simply cannot figure how people will act, how human nature will impact it, how many people will come to their senses and take a stand, some will gain a conscience, and...

So, live YOUR best life today, be prepared, do whatever it takes to improve our circumstances. If there are enough good people here, we can make a difference.

Most of us know it is addressed in the Bible and ultimately, it's in HIS hands and in HIS time.

I REFUSE to be scared, live in fear or scarcity, or believe it is out of our control.

As bad as things are, compared to the last Great Depression, it i nothing! 40% unemployment then - 4200 banks closed then - were in the depression for 5 years before people even knew it!

We are resilent people and can start again and again, if we are educated and prepared. Those who have not earned their own wealth will jump from windows because they will not know how to recover. Those who worked and earned their own way will understand and start again.

It's about family, health, love, faith, and [insert your thought here].
When everyone is in the same predicament, we won't need money. We will trade services, commonaties, talent, etc. etc. Money was only invented by man because some were greedy and felt their service was worth more than another's.

Network with friends, family, neighbors, etc. You will be fine. Forget all the scare tactics used on this thread, we can control things here and now.

What we believe, we draw into our lives. Napoleon Hill, in "Think and Grow Rich" said: "What the mind can conceive, and believe, it can achieve". Ford did it - Edison did it, and millions of others!

The title is a bit deceptive, because in this case, Rich equates to wealth which equates to happiness and prosperity. Money, in and of itself, will NOT make you happy, nor what it can buy. You must achieve these things on your own, and in your own mind.

Well put.

I was going through some historic records today. That made me consider how flat out terrible living conditions must have been in many parts of the United States a few generations back.

I also read the Bible (Revelation 17 and 18). I thought about what’s on my mind quite often—that all the garbage we face seems horribly disastrous when we ponder on it a lot. (But that could be a blessing in disguise. We definitely don't want to lose our "fight" when dealing with the trash on Capitol Hill.)

I'll no doubt get some disagreement, but things aren't that bad here.

By the way… We do not have a policeman waiting around every corner to pounce on us. Cops are not our enemies.

Beautifully spoken. Thank you!

Since 9/11, my husband and I have waffled off and on about leaving this country while we still can, but it always comes back to, no, we have friends here, our kids love it here, our hearts have roots here and besides there is no other country in this world that has the Declaration of Independence, the American Constitution and Bill of Rights no matter how many 'illegal' bills have passed to eliminate them completely! I believe there may come a time when all those nightmarish attempts at destroying our laws and rights will come to an end and we start all over.

I love this country of my birth because of its significance for guaranteeing sovereignty so each soul may live out their God-given destinies! I believe that to be very, very sacred.

Each time I imagine myself living somewhere else, I can feel in my imagination my heart tugging at needing to be back here soon again. So, no, it doesn't look like we are going any where except for traveling or visiting.

Well, said

thanks for the wisdom.

Thankyou Brainon4u2 for taking the time to wtite a very profound and telling story with such brevity. You just wrote a one page novel sharing historical drama and compassion. Guess you call that wisdom.

And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”
