FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

People of Lakota Launch Private Bank for Only Silver and Gold Currencies

Hill City, Lakota - November 24, 2008 - In a stunning development, the Free & Independent People of Lakota announced today the introduction of the world's first non-reserve, non-fractional bank that accepts only silver and gold currencies for deposit.

"Today is a great day for us, a day that we begin to exercise our rights as a sovereign people with strength and pride," comments Canupa Gluha Mani, Tetuwan Council Judicial Member of the Cante Tenza "Strong Heart" Warrior Society. Mani's 2500 member warrior society has contracted to provide private security services for the Free Lakota Bank.

"We invite people of any creed, faith or heritage to unite in an effort to reclaim control of wealth. It is our hope that other tribal nations and American citizens recognize the importance of silver and gold as currency and decide to mirror our system of honest trade." Mani, also known as Duane Martin Sr, is a member of the delegation that declared Lakota independence on December 17th, 2007.

The launch of the Free Lakota Bank is also an incredible victory for StrikeForce Technologies, the access control experts providing depositor Out-of-Band Authentication. As the Free Lakota Bank does not require a name, photo identification or social security number to transact, StrikeForce's technology met the challenge of limiting fraud without requiring controversial biometric technology.

The People of Lakota invite depositors to establish accounts and invest in the Free Lakota Bank's General Investment Fund, the fund it uses to develop profitable free-market enterprise inside Lakota territory. Mani comments that the nation despises donations and charity, and instead insists instead on "earning our wealth by creating value for those that place their faith and trust in our system."

The Free Lakota Bank issues an American Open Currency Standard Approved currency, making it readily accepted for trade by over 10,000 merchants and businesses across the continent.

KILL IT WITH FIRE!

My experience has been excellent.

I have hundreds of silver coins in my possession. They are real. They are minted in New York at the same mint that the U.S. Treasury uses to mint the Walking Liberty Silver Eagles. The same silver is used. The coins are mailed to me directly, postage free. Turn around time is less than one month. All is legit. I am keeping some coins at the FLB, which is presently being built. While the construction is underway, my deposit is currently in a vault in New York at the mint, free with no vault charges.

That is my experience to date. I have nothing but good things to say about Rob Gray and the service that he provides. This is part of: The American Open Currency System. Check out their website and available currencies. There is EVEN A RON PAUL COIN AVAILABLE. Call Rob Gray. I don't know what else to tell you. This is real. The money is real. Their service is real. Pleased check out before you write back negative comments. I have not been planted by anyone to say this. I am telling you my experience with this company, which has been excellent.

Thanks for telling us your experience.

I hope anyone else with direct experience with this company will continue to keep us informed.

Suckers

First, go directly to the supposed physical bank and buy their coins.

NEVER, NEVER buy from shysters over the web, phone or mail.

A private bank issuing money? *gasp*

You would think that was evil, from some of the comments I've seen in this site against "private banks" issuing money and assertions that only the Treasury should issue it.

wow!!

thanks for helping

Exactly

G. Edward Griffin wrote an excellent article on that matter. He said the movement has been counter-productive in thinking that our woes would really be alleviated by more government. The politicians are no more trustworthy than private bankers. Some will make the claim for more oversight or some nonsense but in reality we don't have any oversight or control of any of the other bureaus or departments. It isn't a solution at all to just switch hands from the corrupt bankers to the corrupt politicians. We need free-market money, not more of the same.

From the website and I quote ...

"All loans are funded through the Free Lakota Bank General Investment Fund. This fund is a combination of bank assets and depositor holdings. When you deposit with the Free Lakota Bank, you are invited to participate in the General Investment Fund. Simply indicate the number of ounces from your funds on deposit you would like to earmark for the Fund. Currently, any deposit made to the Fund will not be accessible for a period of 1 year. As the size of the fund grows, early withdraws will be permitted with a small fee. Access to withdraw from the Fund is limited simply because we do not participate in fractional reserve banking.

The current annual rate of return for the Fund is 7.24%. Your Fund earnings are deposited in your account in ounces of AOCS silver."

THAT'S RIGHT ...

ZERO LIQUIDITY FOR 1 YEAR.

Only risk your play money folks.

7.24% may be worth the risk, but only with the play money.

I smell a scheme.

By the way, there will be capital gains tax, I have no doubt.

Take in the whole picture please.

Not say it is a scheme, but it smells like one.

"Current annual rate of return for the fund is 7.24%"

I would scrutinize the fund with a fine tooth comb.

Investor beware.

Boot

for interest sake.

I really wouldn't put

I really wouldn't put anything in a bank like this. Plus i have a few businesses online and i need to be able to accept credit cards and get deposits to my bank account. No one pays in gold online. At least no the majority of the people.

scam

check out the republic of lakota's website to learn that it's not in any way associated with the republic of lakota.

Stupid scam

I like the guy's (or whatever gender Canupa is) name.

Proceed to get ripped off.

Note that they DO NOT want your name when you open an account with them.

Lakota- I'm afraid that the Great White Father in Washington is going to close your "bank".

7.2% return? Oh, come on.

"Free Market Metals"

Has anyone successfully bought any of those Lakotah coins from Free Market Metals?

I got mine.

I got my shipment of 110 newly minted pieces yesterday directly from the mint. They're gorgeous!

what ever man. Do not

what ever man.

Do not listen to this person nor would I suggest buying anything from this so called bank.

Think folks. This guy has been here for 3 weeks claims he bought $5000 in coins from this bank yet we have never seen him/her post ever except to bump this old post.

You are free to do what you want but I can but gold and silver from legit brokers as I have done for years so there is no need to trust anyone new here.

www.rtrradio.com

correction

I paid $1500, and they shipped directly from the mint. Obviously you don't know what you're talking about because I have them and you don't.

I guess new users are automatically irreputable if they post anything constructive for the first three weeks. Simply arrogant and ignorant if you ask me. I only drop in on this site from time to time because I have a full-time job, a family and other responsibilities. I like what I read, but don't have much to add to the conversation that's already going on. This was the first time I actually had something to ADD to the conversation. My mistake.

Not when you continually

Not when you continually bump this old post that is asking people to turn over their money to an unknown bank.

Trust must be earned around here and this continues to smell like a scam and you are the one that continues to bump this post why is that?

www.rtrradio.com

disclaimer

I'm not with the Lakota bank and can't speak for them. I ordered coins and got them as advertised. So I'm giving them a thumbs up. That's all.

Buyer beware ...

That is all I have to say.

Are you saying you received 110 1 ounce silver coins for $1500?

WAHOR!!
http://www.dailypaul.com/node/48994

Yes

Yes, bulk orders are spot+$5.25 per ounce and are shipped from the mint on orders over 100.

I can't control the fact that my replies to you move this conversation to the top of the stack. Since you are omniscient as to my motives, maybe you are equally omnipotent so as to keep the website from bumping your replies to mine. I certainly am not. I have this article bookmarked on my browser to come back once every week or two to see if anybody has added to the discussion. And sure enough, I came back to see you responded, so I replied back to you. So you can thank yourself for the bumping.

Do you actually have all 110 coins ...

in your possession?

No ifs ands or buts?

No additional deposits required?

Is that what you are saying?

WAHOR!!
http://www.dailypaul.com/node/48994

I have the following:

110 coins bought
- 20 coins sold on ebay and shipped out yesterday
= 90 coins in my possession

Of the 90, one is tarnished because i like to keep one in my pocket to show friends, and 89 are still in mint condition.
