Before I get flamed I have to tell you guys that I am a Ron Paul supporter. I just don't think you can say socialism is the only thing responsible for the rough lives they were living. And also to say it had nothing to do with chance...give me a break, farming has a lot to do with chance, if you get a really late frost you are f*****.

We are already being imposed on with the BANKING BAILOUT BILL, against the will of the people...

THEY were LIARS who absconded off with billions of dollars in FRESH MONEY from the FED without our permission.

There was no vote for this.

There was no public approval for this.

ONLY Wall Street was cheerleading our government & the FED almost on a daily basis.

This video transplants a unique situation, the Pilgrims landing in the new world, into a context of modern politics. This video is bullshit. It is trying to legitimize a modern idea, that of 'liberty' (as defined by nutjob Constitutionalists), and seeks to disgrace a modern idea, that of socialism (painted as despotic by nutjoby). You cant take ideas from modern history and apply them to the past. That isnt how it work.

I do wish to offer a small criticism ...

The narrator speaks in absolutes ...

"Socialism never succeeds" as an example.

Of course the jury is still out on this ...

There are some orders of Nuns that have succeeded for centuries under complete socialism. Of course they rely on capitalistic profits to be offered as charity, but they seemed to have served a purpose and have survived and flourished at times in a completely socialistic structure.

Just a thought ...

I am sure there are other examples as well.

Having said that ...

As a political structure ...

I cannot think of a single successful example.
