What is God? Who are We? Will politics ever give us peace of mind? If you don't have peace of mind, are you truly free?

When debating the existence of god, perhaps the most important step is the one that gets overlooked the most often, and by both atheists and theists: defining what is meant by the concept 'god.' You can't debate the existence of something unless everyone is clear what it is they are talking about; otherwise, people might be talking about completely different things.

Most people in this country were raised to believe that God is separate from them, but God is said to be Omnipresent, that means that God is not separate from you. Could it be that God has been living within us this whole time and we weren't even aware of it?

God is much like the breath. Everything begins and ends with the breath. Without our breath we could not be having this conversation. The inhale, retention, and exhale is the simplest thing going on in our lives, so much so that we hardly even pay attention to it most of the time. Perhaps it goes to show us there is a deeper part of ourselves that seems to be operating involuntarily, but yet it is something we can access voluntarily when we want to. If God is Love and Love is giving something without expecting anything in return then God does indeed Love us very much by giving us the breath of life in the first place. Conscious breathing is an option but even still the breath could leave us anytime and we'd be powerless to keep it from going. That's what God is.

Jesus preached that the power of God is within everyone and that we too could become workers of miracles. He wanted to show us that we are indeed more than we think we are. All the time we are thinking who is God, where is God? But the definition of God is all pervading.

Whatever you think about in life you will automatically identify with it or identify against it. When it comes to thinking about God, Unconditional Love, Forgiveness, Non-attachment, Humility, and so forth, those are qualities we can cultivate that inevitably lead us to warmer friendlier more agreeable societies and cultures.

American government and media and anything else tainted by The Bank of England and British Commonwealth have programmed us citizens to stay silent, to stay within our shells and our comfort zones, wrapped up and isolated like in some cocoon. It is up to us to start realizing our potential, to realize that with God's help we can become better persons and live happier lives. Jesus showed us what this life could be like, but who among us can say they are truly walk in his ways.

The apocalypse is not the end of the world via some doomsday type scenario though there certainly exists a danger of that magnitude given our technology. Apocalypse is the death of the Ego. Revelation is God-Realization, full spiritual communion with God, an inner transformation of your self. The revelation of your own Soul which you have covered up with your ignorance.

Finding God is also about Finding your True Self, because who you really are is the Light of God, a manifestation of God. You are God, you are not separate from God, the You that is God is not greater than God and not less. We forget this because of endless thinking going on in our minds and because we are always thinking our identity is solid and real, but it is not, it is just more layers of who you think you are. It is concepts such as these that provide the basis for Socrates' famous encouragement to know thy self.

The journey of Self-realization is the same journey as God-realization. The soul is like electricity powering different light bulbs. We all have the same soul, there's only one soul. The soul is existence, consciousness, bliss absolute, and unconditional ecstatic Love. That is what we are or at least what we could become. How many of us will choose the inward path to Salvation and Realiztion and how many will continue to keep searching for liberation outside somewhere in the external world of duality and politics?

If you want to see a real transformation occur in this country it has to start with You. Transform yourself, remove your negative qualities, lead a disciplined lifestyle, get in touch with your inner self every day. Get in touch with your breath, revere it. Use it as your tool to help control the mind and to cultivate virtuous qualities.

As regards the Ron Paul movement, libertarian ideals, and politics in general, they are all valid things to be active in, but we must understand that politics can't save us, it can't give us the true freedom we seek. We will never be free so long as we are afraid. Fear is slavery. Ignorance is slavery. The opposite of fear is love.

Few people in our culture take the time to meditate, instead most are always consuming more information which will always be relatively true. They want to know the absolute truth about what's going on with their lives and their reality but the absolute truth cannot be understood by the thinking mind alone. It's too tough to break through the layers of ignorance which have clouded their minds.

Many of us have broken free of these artificial models of reality apparent within our minds by good fortune or good graces, but there comes a time when we must continue working to liberate ourselves, to realize that we are more than who we think we are. We can feel Love for others, but can others make us feel Love. Does not Love arise in you? You make your own love, you make your own life. Live a life of virtue, of self-realization, of god-realization.

Revere this life that you have been given. Let your light shine so that others may also be not afraid to shine. Let your virtuous qualities manifest themselves and set a beautiful example. When everyone can begin to live a life of inner transformation, it will be reflected in the external world, in our society, our culture, and our politics. Then and only then.

The problems we have created cannot be solved by the same state of mind that created them, we have to go beyond, we must peel the onion of our minds and our conception of reality and dive deep into the ocean of our inner selves to discover the buried treasure hiding within us all along, our real identity. Then our thirst for knowledge, happiness, and bliss will be realized just like seeing a candle in a dark room. You don't need another candle or a flashlight to see a candle it is self-evident.

Finding God, Finding your deeper non-intellectual non-ego self is akin to that. God is in everyone and everything, revere life, revere your neighbors and love them, God is within them. You and they are breathing the same breath because of God's grace. A higher power, the breath, is in control. Learn to consciously control the breath and control your mind to focus inward . Remember that you are the Ocean not just a little wave. Peace.
