Got a song you think would make a good video?

I am currently hitting creative roadblocks on the songs I have planned to make videos with. I also am getting new software in about a week, but in the meantime I have a couple days off and want to make a new video. Does anyone have an obscure song they think would make a great video? I'm wide open so far I have done hip-hop, folk, and Irish rock. I realize though that my Itunes list may not be most people's cup of tea. So what would you like to see done?

If you want to check out anything I have done already feel free:

Smashing Pumpkins or NIN

I'd say either use "Doomsday Clock" by SP "Capital G" by Nine Inch Nails. Actually any song off of either Zeitgeist or Year Zero would work I think, even though they are arguably the worst albums by both bands, they are both political. Although I'd use Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D (Year Zero Remixed) instead of Year Zero.

And no Vietnam era music. That sh-t is played out.

I think this would be a great song. Lyrics are good and hit home.

this song.

Rise Today by Alter Bridge. Here are the lyrics. I love this song and I think the lyrics fit well.

"Rise Today"

The wind is blowing cold
Have we lost our way tonight?
Have we lost our hope to sorrow?

Feels like we're all alone
Running further from what's right
And there are no more heroes to follow

So what are we becoming?
Where did we go wrong?

[Chorus:]
Yeah, oh yeah
I want to rise today
And change this world

Yeah, oh yeah
Oh, won't you rise today
And change this world?

The sun is beating down
Are we ever gonna change
Can we stop the blood from running?

Our time is running out
Hope we find a better way
Before we find we're left with nothing

For every life that's taken
So much love is wasted

[Chorus:]
Yeah, oh yeah
I want to rise today
And change this world

Yeah, oh yeah
So won't you rise today
And change

This world
Only love can set it right
This world
If only peace would never die

Seems to me that we've got each other wrong
Was the enemy just your brother all along?

[Chorus:]
Yeah, oh yeah
I want to rise today
And change this world

Yeah, oh yeah
Oh won't you rise today
And change this world?

Yeah, oh yeah
I want to rise today
And change this world

Yeah, oh yeah
I want to rise today
And change this world

I think that Twisted Sister would make a great Tea Party anthem. I saw one guy's video and loved it.

We all need to Hold on tight to our dream..so

From ELO..
old enough for many to remember. But fresh enough to be used in a recent cars commercial. It's simple...It's got a nice hook. Great harmonies.
here are the lyrics

Hold on tight to your dream:

Hold on tight to your dream
Hold on tight to your dream
When you see your ship go sailing
When you feel your heart is breaking
Hold tight to your dream.

Its a long time to be gone
Time just rolls on and on
When you need a shoulder to cry on
When you get so sick of trying
Just hold tight to your dream

Chorus:
When you get so down that you cant get up
And you want so much but youre all out of luck
When youre so downhearted and misunderstood
Just over & over & over you could

Accroches-toi a ton reve
Accroches-toi a ton reve
Quand tu vois ton bateau partir
Quand tu sents -- ton coeur se briser
Accroches-toi a ton reve.

Repeat chorus:

Hold on tight to your dream
Hold on tight to your dream
When you see the shadows falling
When you hear that cold wind calling
Hold on tight to your dream.

Oh, yeah
Hold on tight to your dream
Yeah, hold on tight...
To your dream.

GREAT choice!

I would also add "What I Like About You" to that list of possible theme tunes. I like the idea of upbeat, happy stuff since we've got TONS of heart-gripping and heavy-message videos already available.

Let's give newcomers and/or prospects something that will motivate them in a positive, upbeat way. Hey, I LOVE what's been done to-date, but we need to come at this from another angle at some point.

Remember, people only buy two things: (1) solutions to problems and (2) good feelings. Let's give 'em a little of #2 now...:-)

Queensryche - Revolution Calling

This is a very cool song from the "Operation Mindcrime" album released in 1990.

The lyrics hold true today...

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
For a price I'd do about anything
Except pull the trigger
For that I'd need a pretty good cause
Then I heard of Dr. X
The man with the cure
Just watch the television
Yeah, you'll see there's something going on

Got no love for politicians
Or that crazy scene in D.C.
It's just a power mad town
But the time is ripe for changes
There's a growing feeling
That taking a chance on a new kind of vision is due

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
[There's a] Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

I'm tired of all this bullshit
They keep selling me on T.V.
About the communist plan
And all the shady preachers
Begging for my cash
Swiss bank accounts while giving their
Secretaries the slam

They're all in Penthouse now
Or Playboy magazine, million dollar stories to tell
I guess Warhol wasn't wrong
Fame fifteen minutes long
Everyone's using everybody, making the sale

I used to think
That only America's way, way was right
But now the holy dollar rules everybody's lives
Gotta make a million doesn't matter who dies

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
[There's a] Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
[There's a] Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

The American Revolution 2.0 will not be televised... It will be downloaded!!!

Revolution by Chris De Burgh

The Revolution Lyrics
» Chris De Burgh

Wake up boys, there's a light at the window,
I can hear someone knocking on the door,
There are voices in the street,
And the sound of running feet,
And they whisper the word - "Revolution!"

There are men coming down from the valleys,
There are tall ships lying off the coast,
And they carry the light,
In the dark of the night,
Like a whisper in the wind - "Revolution!"

Bring my gun and a handful of silver,
By the sea we will gather for the fight,
It's been so many years, so many tears,
We have lost once before,
Now we'll settle the score,
When our cannons will roar - "Revolution!"

You can hear it here:

The country song , but get the band Disturbed to sing it.... LET FFFRRREEEEEEDOM RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINGGG

WINDS OF CHANGE

by scorpions. I don't have the time to make videos, but this song really is perfect. It's serious, real and touching, without being gloomy or stupid.

really, this song has the power to turn keys in people hearts

The wind of change Blows

The wind of change
Blows straight into the face of time
Like a stormwind that will ring the freedom bell
For peace of mind

Song # 1:

Just vote for me and I'll bring home pork from Washington D.C.
We'll soak the other taxpayers, but you'll get yours for free.

We'll build you a mighty welfare state, and it will be your slave.
Offering full coverage from the cradle to the grave.
(...the cradle to the grave!)

We'll regulate small businesses, we'll tie them up in knots.
If not for the vigor of the working class, the budget would be shot.
(...the budget would be shot!)

When things turn sour, we'll duck the blame, you cannot pin us down,
Not two Senators! Your Congressman! (doodle oodle oot doo!)
The President, and his Vice! (waah waah waaaaH!)
His Ca-bi-net, the Supreme Court and the Pentagon!
What a slick bunch of lice!

(intermezzo)

So, that's the way the system works, we'll rob the country blind,
And blame each other's Party, you'll buy it every time!

The Donkey and the Elephant will patronize the pest
Who whimpers for free goodies from the public treasure chest.

"New roads! Food stamps! More benefits! Not a single user fee!
Don't call it socialism, we say democracy!"

Just watch the action on the floor, it's sure to make you ill,
Those lying, scheming Congressmen, there on Capitol Hill!

I can't sing worth $#!%, but help yourself. It's an original lyric set to a familiar tune (stolen from Sheldon Leonard?)

For a Christian You tube video "Hold Fast" from Mercy Me

Hey,

I think we talked a few weeks ago about making a you tube video for seniors. I think a great song for a Christian You tube video for Ron Paul would be "Hold Fast" from Mercy me. It is a very moving song and it builds! I am justing waiting for someone to really make an awesome Christian Ron Paul video so we can share it with our Christians friends.
