Good inverview

So thorough. It is interesting that RT is so interested in what he has to say. I appreciate it so much but I hope it is not used as some type of propaganda tool. Do you know what I mean?

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5,6

Healthnut4freedom

The lip of truth shall be established forever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment...Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are His delight. Prov 12:19,22

RT is a sort of propaganda...but what media isn't?

RT is a sort of propaganda, and owned by the Russian government, much the way Voice of America, Radio Free Europe, and Radio LIberty are (or were) U.S. government propaganda outlets, and the same way BBC World Service is a sort of propaganda outlet for the foreign policy objectives of the British government.

The difference is that Russia Today gives Ron Paul a platform to spread his views. Their official public line is: "RT is a public broadcaster. The channel is government-funded but shapes its editorial policy free from political and commercial influence. Our dedicated team of news professionals unites young talent and household names in the world of broadcast journalism." Take that for what it's worth.

I have always, since childhood, listened to broadcasts from overseas, as a way of exposing myself to different views of all sorts, and I do mean all sorts. I built my first shortwave radio when I was 10 years old from some spare parts, a PC training board, and wired it to a small speaker I picked up at radio shack. I would listen to everything from Voice of America, to Radio Havana, to Radio Moscow, Radio Beijing, and their arch-enemy on the airwaves, Voice of Free China (Taiwan), and numerous other stations from abroad. I also listened to clandestine broadcasts from rebel groups in Africa, Asia, and Central America, and pirate radio in America. Listening to a variety of political and economic messages is part of developing a healthy understanding of the world around you, and finding your own way.

So, listen to Russia Today. If nothing else, you can bet their news is more interesting and more in-depth than CNN or NBC, for sure.

Thanks for posting this again

I was afraid it would fall into oblivion. Most of the good posts are getting quickly forgotten these days.

I (heart) Russia Today. If I could tolerate living in DC or its environs, I would seriously consider working for them.
