US prepares for "continuity of government"

The US federal government has made strong preparations for "continuity of government" in the event of a national catastrophe. A full army brigade is now on active duty within domestic borders, and the Bush administration has issued a directive which allows the president to coordinate all three branches of the federal government in such an event. Sorry Guys, But this is a legitimate function of Government.
It is much better for them to be making contengency plans than passing bills. They need to do more of this so they don't spend so much time meddling or handing out money to friends.

What if a inter Helio flyby discombobulates the interplanetary thingamajig and a whole lot of wobblin , rattlin, shakin, deluging, ect goes on? Or the Zeta's make earth their stand against the Federation of Planets, will the interdimensional gatekeepers allow it? The planning scenarios are endless. (just poking fun a little :-)..
