Sometimes
....when I see the stock market go down this far, a part of me is worried and sad , but part of me is thinking 'Take that you f'ing assholes!' Anyone else secretly feel that way or am I just sick and twisted?
Like RP says
let it crash, the recovery will be a lot quicker.
Food for thought...
With any positive number, X % decrease is always going to carry more weight in point value than X % increase. Example:
The DJIA is at 8000. A 5% drop is -400 points, leaving it at 7600.
The DJIA is at 7600. It rallies 5%, or 380, leaving it at 7980.
The DJIA is at 8000. A 5% rally adds 400 points, leaving it at 8400.
The DJIA is at 8400. A 5% drop removes 420 points, leaving it at 7980.
Not that this really means anything, but I find it amusing that the CNBC pundit squad get super excited about a big rally day that hits 5-7%. A similar drop will always undo the rally plus some. Until the Dow hits -1 that is.

"Until the Dow hits -1 that is." haha
That just may happen, I've been calling for an ounce of gold to buy the dow...They ALL say I'm a nut.
We'll see.
How could the market not crash today
First we had a speech by g.dummy, then helicopter ben,
and to top it off paulson hadda throw in his two cents. idiots are running the economy into the ground. have a nice ride.
Love
It!
I bought a big long-term position in the SPY at the close.
Was waiting for this move to test the 815 level. This big down move today was a gift for anyone that missed the buying opportunity at dow 7600.
If we break 815 I don't care. I just add to the position, as I've got a lot of cash and margin still. As long as the market doesn't tank another 40%, which is highly unlikely, I'm fine for the long term. No guts, no glory.
They are already out
throwing grease on the fire. MSM Paulson will expand bailout. Hundreds of more banks will be considered. Oh brother, someone reel this guy in. Meanwhile, back at the ranch WAMU who supposedly has been made all better by being bought by JPMorgan/Chase will have 9,200 jobs cut.

Can't help but think
someone or a lot of someones are getting very rich over these wide swings.
Dow has been bouncing back and forth since September.
Seems everytime a down market is wanted Paulson is sent out to give one of his toxic speeches.
Wonder what or who will be used to bounce it up this time.
If the pattern holds the Dow will be back up in a few days.
Oh, yes! Same here! And I've
Oh, yes! Same here! And I've noticed every time the Dow goes down big and I predict that the next day it will go down even more, the wretched thing goes back up with an incredible high! It's that bloody David Rothschild and David Rockefeller who are playing Marketeer again! Damn, why don't they just play Russian Roulette and lose to get shot! I think we need to send the globalists a cyberattack to destroy their system.
If you thought that was bad ...

Ouch. Was that a record for them?
If I remember right ours was the 778 drop in September. It will be interesting to see what the Asian markets do this evening.
BRAZIL only down 5% comparatively
Yes, the big players keep initiating the climb back up, then the suckers come in and stimulate the market until the big boys want to take their profit and start the cycle over again. They will play the fools as long as there are fools. Like fish at the poker table baby!

Holy crap!

I bought about 6
small bottles of Bourbon today to use for barter. LOL I had a friend with me she could hardly believe it and the check out girl either. LOL A couple fellows looked like they would have followed me home like puppy dogs. LOL
I guess they thought I was a alcoholic. LOL I hope Bourbon holds up and doesn't get old. Does anyone know does it have an expiration date?

I have a customer
Who does maintenance work at a convenience store in the hood, about 20 miles south of me. Who has told me this several times.
The store sells individual cigarettes for 45 cents a piece. They also sell individual beers for $1.50 a piece, and the folks happily buy them because they can't afford a whole pack of cigarettes or a whole 6 pack of beer.
Thank you Dr. Paul for making me act on what I already knew was right.

Food, smokes, alcohol,
guns, ammo, good for barter. Could even be better than silver and gold. you can't eat silver or gold.
Things could never
get so bad you barter off guns and ammo unless you have some to spare.
Kill a deer and barter it instead.

Ouch
Mercy me.
It is taking all of my willpower not to send out an email blast that says, "Anyone wish Ron Paul was President yet?" I would love to confront some of the idiots who would not be convinced and say, "What do you think now???"
Will the DOW close
in the low to mid 7000's tomorrow or will PPT be printing money all night to hold it up?
