Report from Georgia - Diebold at it again...

While one could sense that Jim Martin would come up short, nothing would prepare me for Saxby Chambliss's near landslide victory in the Georgia Senate runoff yesterday; certainly, not Zogby's "scientific" poll that showed Chambliss leading by 4%, with 4% undecided. I was determined to do my part to stop Chambliss, for Chambliss' illegal amnesty vote, for Chambliss' bailout vote and, most certainly, for Chambliss' arrest of Ellen Sassower in 2003. I rushed from work to make absolutely sure I could vote for Jim Martin.
There were two other offices on the ballot. One was a non-partisan judgeship, for which I didn't cast my vote. I voted for the Democrat in the other, to further punish the GOP. Imagine my surprise, when the Diebold summary showed I was about to cast my ballot for...Saxby Chambliss! I quickly changed it before submitting the ballot.

Was I so intent on defeating Chambliss that I inadvertantly voted for him? I don't believe that for a minute.

It doesn't even have show you that you are about to cast your vote for Saxby. It can show you that you are casting your vote for Martin and STILL it gets registered as a vote for Saxby. That was evidenced on multiple news shows, including even Faux.

Electronic voting machines are NOT trustworthy.

Getting back to paper ballots counted by hand is the ONLY surefire way to know that the vote is at least marginally secure. With electronic voting machines, you have NO idea what will be the end result because the paper trail either a.isn't there or b.can be totally bogus in regards to what the actual vote was and nobody will ever be the wiser.

What are the odds

What are the odds that the republican in Georgia got the same percentage of votes as the Republican in South Carolina? for the same office. Were they using the same doctored machines or maybe the same exact program?

yeah

58-42? Obama's coattails were strong, but that strong? For that to go from a three point race on election day to 16? Something doesn't quite give.

wow

Thanks for posting this.
