Vaccinations are NOT evil and Ron Paul has NOT spoken out against them!
There is a thread on this forum that simply will not die.
The ongoing participants in the thread are obviously fanatics who are very passionate about stamping out the "evils" of vaccination and care little about how they go about accomplishing that goal.
They DO have some legitimate concerns and may even be correct about many of their points.
But as a physician, and an avid supporter and admirer of Dr. Paul, it bothers me more than a little to see his name and professional integrity MISUSED to advance their particular cause.
And the original post and its title are misleading to the point of being a flat out lie.
The name of the thread is, "Vaccinations are evil and Ron Paul HAS spoken out against them".

To the misleading title of this thread.Ron Paul did NOT speak out against vaccinations IN GENERAL and certainly did NOT label them as "evil".
I would like to suggest that instead of resurrecting this same thread with the same misleading title, people who would like to post more comments about the evils of vaccination start a new thread each time.
Or would it be too hard to find a valid excuse for posting this on a "Ron Paul" website, considering that the linked article in the original post says nothing that would validate, support, or even agree with 99% of the comments in this thread?
I have no problem with your expressing your opinions, and you might even be 100% correct in most of your assertions. But I still object to the inference that DR. RON PAUL agrees with most of the opinions expressed in this thread.
As a fellow physician and a great admirer of Dr.Paul, I do not think that you should be using HIS credibility and reputation to validate your own (or any other physician's) very controversial opinions.
No amount of disclaimer or explanation buried in the depths of this thread can make up for the damage done by the title and original post.
Please have the decency to let THIS thread die, or at least edit the title and original post to remove the false implications.

(For the obvious reason that he has said almost nothing to support their assertions.)

Its hard to keep tabs on how often that other thread gets revived.
My day job and a few other interests keep me preoccupied.
But defending Ron Paul's credibility IS a worthwhile pursuit so I will do it once again.
I understand and can sympathize with your desire not to start too many anti-vaccine threads on DailyPaul. (See below.) After all, it IS a tangential issue and most of the people on this website are primarily interested in (surprise, surprise) Ron Paul and issues related to his Campaign for Liberty.
I just wish you could pick ONE thread that did not have a LIE as its title.
If you think I am doing this just to aggravate you, I will give you this challenge:
Start a new thread (or even edit the title and OP of the old thread) to eliminate the misleading references to Ron Paul and his stance on vaccination and I will be out of your life.....forever.

She's had two mini strokes, seizures and swelling of all the tissues in her body. She even has paralysis on the right side of her face. After months of testing, doctors finally pointed to Gardasil as the cause.

The CDC and the FDA say they have received thousands of reports of adverse reactions to the vaccine, but the government adds, it continues to find that the benefits of Gardasil outweigh the risks.

I figured someone would complain if I didn't start consolidating all this info.

tions! He would never do such a thing because that is entirely up to each adult to choose for their own children, hopefully based on 'good' information.
Equally, he would never support legislation that forces vaccination either!

It seems there's quite a bit of evidence supporting the fact that vaccines aren't necessary in most cases in the United States. Dr. Salk said he would leave the country if the govt. commanded him to give vaccines to his children.
Plenty of doctors have written books against vaccines.
That they are evil (implying "sinful") is true. There is no command or precedent within the scripture supporting the idea of putting a substance into your body's tissue made from a disease. Rather, there's ample commands and precedent for avoiding sicknesses (quarantine) and eating the proper foods and proper sanitation.

Framing the argument
It's amazing how the elite control us. The discussion centers on how to make them safer and who pays when the vaccines harm people instead of do free people line up for shots in their arm of any kind.
It reminds me greatly of health care. 90 percent of people I speak with will argue over the present insurance based system or a national system controlled by the government. Most of them can't even comprehend having neither. They can't even imagine just going to the doctor and paying him. In just two generations the elite have convinced Americans that they need a "system" to protect them.
The argument has now been framed so that the elite win either way. You'll see the big insurance companies fiercely coming out against "national" health care. The same way the big banks opposed the Federal Reserve Act. Trying to convince people they were against the system when all the while they were the architects and main supporters of the system. The elite at the top of the health insurance companies are quite aware that the one thing more profitable then fleecing the American people and doctors would be to fleece the federal government.
But either way they win. They have framed the argument. Americans can no longer even imagine a world without someone or something controlling their health care.
We really need to think about what being FREE is before we start demanding it. I think some (even here at the DP} proclaim the right to be free without understanding it comes with consequences. They seem to want their stuff and protection while proclaiming the right to be left alone. I don't think you can have it both ways.

Wow!! This is exactly how the CFR operates. They claim to be an organization that debates issues. However, it is how they frame the debate that is crucial. They frame the debate in terms that no matter the outcome, the result is acceptable to them.
A for instance would be: "Should we send Russia 8 billion again this year or should we bump it up to 12 billion?" Either is acceptable to them. But you see, nowhere in that "framed debate" is there an option to send them nothing at all. Slick huh??
You also hit on the true problem of why health care costs so much. The competition has been taken out of the equation by a third party payer. An example of how this would play out would be: I'm in need of an MRI. My insurance Co. gave me 2 in the area that they work with. 1 of them is 5 blocks away and costs $750.00 total. The other machine is 5 miles away through heavy traffic but it only costs $400.00 total. My co-pay is $20.00 no matter what, so why drive through that mess... In fact, since someone else picks up the difference, I didn't even bother to comparison shop, because to me, it's a no-brainer.
More evidence of this can be found in a comparison between doctors and dentists. The dental side of the picture has not been completely corrupted... YET...by down to the cavity insurance. So you will, on occasion see ads or billboards for dental conglomerates along the side of major roads. Some of those ads may even include prices for an initial exam, or even offer a free exam. You also see ads for various doctors offices or other health conglomerates, but you will NEVER see a price or a free exam in conjunction with it. The reason is it doesn't matter what the price is, cause you (the person making the decision to pay them a visit) will never have to pay the full bill anyway, just a tab for a $20.00 co-pay. But many people still pay dental bills from their own pocket. That's the difference and you recognized it but in not so many words.
What I'm saying is that you are a very perceptive individual, which is in stark contrast to your screen name ("stupidwrthlsboy"). You are neither stupid nor worthless, but in fact are on of the sharper knives in the drawer. I'm glad you're on my team, fighting in the trenches with me, and I thank you for it.

with most people is the cost of health care. They will argue "its so expensive how could I afford it without insurance." They never realize that the collapse of the system and the addition of more doctors would drive the price down drastically.

I posted a similar thread a while back talking about the issue of "healthcare" and "coverage", explaining that I did not want any type of "coverage" that did not allow me the freedom to choose my own healthcare. In other words, Blue Cross Blue Shield is USELESS in my opinion because I do not agree with the medical machine's view of "treatment" and "health" and in most states I cannot visit the type of doctors I would choose to visit. Except in an emergency situation, I rarely ever even use my insurance. I know this was not the point of your comment, but let me go into that next. I totally agree that people have been programmed into the idea that we all need "coverage" in some way, shape, or form. The "costs" of healthcare are artificially inflated to outrageous levels BECAUSE of insurance, medicare, and the costs of malpractice insurance, etc. We don't understand the concept of free-market healthcare anymore and people think that everyone should be "covered". "Covered" under what? What system? What philosophy? Are we that naive to believe that there is only one beneficial method or system of "medicine" that is being employed at the best interest of the public? It is simplistic and naive to believe that, yet most people do. The real purpose of the system is greed - how much money can be milked off the public while keeping most people sick and on medication, killing them along the way? It is a sick system and I don't want any "coverage" underneath it. I want to see my own doctor, employ my own health regimens, and yes, I will pay for it myself. However we are at a disadvantage when a system contrary to ours already exists because the costs will continue to be artificially high for everyone due to the nature of the system and its impact on pricing. It is difficult not to live within the system that has been implemented for which everyone is expected to fall in line.

I am not a doctor, but I am a lawyer, and the real evil lies with Big Pharma. The vaccines they make harm and kill our children and our government has taken away our right to redress creating an agency that protects Big Pharma by cherry picking injury that the agency compensate victims for. Even with the government shield 1.5 billion dollars has been paid for vaccine injury, so just how safe are vaccines? The agency says that there is no connection between autism and vaccinations, in spite of the fact that thousands of parents claim and can verify that their child was normal and regressed after a vaccination. Just why do "experts" discount the parents observations? Isnt' this evidence? Of course it is. If we go to bed at night and wake up with snow on the ground, do we need an "expert" to come out and tell us it snowed? How manipulated we have become. Until we can get evidence in a court of law with a jury of our peers, there will be no justice. I have no doubt that vaccines cause autism and a host of other medical problems. The reason why the "truth" is suppressed is that Big Pharma is so very good at suppression. They send out vaccine whores like Dr. Offit who fills his pockets with Big Pharma bucks while children die. In China they executed the head of their FDA and I would like to see the same thing here. Every branch of our government sold out to Big Pharma because they can spread cash with the billions they make. They have bought the experts as well. Not just for vaccine research but others including Dr. Biederman from Harvard that after lining his pockets with Big Pharma bucks claimed that a baby can be bipolar at the time it takes it's first breath and should be medicated for life.
