Why do Americans vote in idiot Senators (Dodd)??

I am soooo....sick of all this bailing out of corporation, after corporation. We have U.S. Senators saying if we do not bail out these big companies it will be a death sentence, have you all read this article?

Pelosi and Reid would like for the federal reserve to use
it's "authority" to help out the big 3 auto firms? And what is the House of Representatives function, again, as per the Constitution?
Let's see now...Dodd, Pelosi, Reid. We're gonna need a bigger rail.
BECAUSE THEY PROMISE FREE
BECAUSE THEY PROMISE FREE HEALTHCARE, WELFARE, ETC.. NOBODY WANTS TO WORK ANYMORE!

Hey McCain-----┌П┐(◣_◢)┌П┐
Dodd needs to be tarred and
Dodd needs to be tarred and feathered. Every time he opens his mouth, all I can think about his "government shill." This guy is the very picture of government corruption, and all the evidence one needs is given when you hear him open his mouth. It's obvious.

Don't forget the idiot President's!
A few Representatives are questionable also.
Because they
are good americans and they vote. Most of them don't know a thing about who they vote for except maybe wether they are democrat or republican or might have seen them or heard thier voice once and they are on the ballot so they say I'll pick that one he looks nice. Some might have possibly heard them say they will lower taxes or something. I swear I knew 15 women that voted for Clinton because they thought he was good looking. BARF!!!!!! I knew alot that voted for Romney because he was good looking and Huckabee because he was a preacher. Mccain of course because he was a prisoner of war. And Ron Paul, Who is he? Oh they said he can't win so I won't vote for him. When it comes to senators i don't think many people vote in those elections or even know who's running.

"Moreover, as America becomes an increasingly multicultural society, it may find it more difficult to fashion a consensus on foreign policy issues, except in the circumstances of a truly massive and widely perceived direct external threat."
"But, indeed, no private person has a right to complain, by suit in court, on the ground of a breach of the Constitution. The Constitution it is true, is a compact, but he is not a party to it."
That's a topic that I wish would get more serious attention and
discussion. It shows the way that power started flowing away from state legislatures toward the central government. These days, how many people even know, or care to know, the names of their state reps and senators?

It really is a pressing
It really is a pressing issue. Right up there with the federal reserve act and income tax act. This is perhaps what set the stage for such events to come about. Enacted 1912...

Bump
.
Because they hire consultants who are professional BS-ers
And they promise stuff they can't possibly deliver. Then they get a big project approved in the State and solidify loyalty. Then they send former staff members into jobs in the big businesses in the state, making it easier for the "right" people to have the senator's ear. Then they use loyal people to discredit and downplay competitors. And how much money can those competitors really raise with half the state in the incumbent's back pocket?
One more thing, because they can form slates. They basically occupy the top seat in the State and are like the "boss" of the State senators and delegates as well as house members.
There is no honor.

Oh... my..
What has our country become, when will we all stand up, and say enough is enough. Will it be when they collapse the dollar? Will it be when martial law is declared, and the UN soldiers are on our soil? I hope you all have guns, ammo, food, and silver, or gold....
It's become Tamany Hall
I had some "new" democrat clients (candidates) actually refer to it reverntly. "If you can't give a good supporter a good job, what good are you"

For all of the hoopla about "change" and the sad, and
worsening, state of the economy, look at the percentage of incumbents who were returned to office.

Absolutely disgusting.
To top it all off, I heard on the news tonight that Kay Bailey Hutchison has formed an exploratory committee to start her run for governor of Texas.

Yep
and you know where that leaves the NAU Rick Perry. Stepping up to the Presidency.
Quick, who can we run against Hutchison??
I read that one myself earlier today. Kay wants to get into
the governor's mansion in Texas because it's a statistically better platform from which to seek the presidency. Her voting record, with too few exceptions, sux.

Lucky for us,
there probably won't be a United States left by the time she gets around to running for president.

I will say I am grateful to have attended a private school until I was in Jr. High......Unfortunately, most folks did not have the same opportunity, but those here on this site that did not have that opportunity are those that actually use their minds to distinguish the truths from all the lies most American have been told. I really love you guys, thank you!
The Answer should be obvious.
Most if not all of us here saw the videos of Obama voters and McCain supporters interviewed. They're clueless. They look at shiny objects and cool words that sound good, knowing not the full implications of them.
Ignorance equates to susceptibility. If you can be ruled through fear, you will be. So they drum up fancy shiny charts, cool terms and complicated phrases, create a sob story, justify it with math that was taught in a class everyone sleeps through, then they scare the living shit out of you with it. The public doesn't know any better.
but that's ok; Stupidity is self-correcting.
Bravo!
I was going to comment, but you have said it all.
Thank you soooo...much for your response MW...
The American people are tired, we are done, and our elected officials need to step up to the plate and start representing. They are not "We The People" We are, and they need to realize that before they are no longer listen to, taken seriously, or have a freakin home to come to. I am so fed up with all this BS I could scream, yeah some may say that is exactly how they want us all to feel so they can do their martial law thingy and oppress, well my response is bring it on, I am ready for it.
Understandable.
I found the best way to relieve the stress is to simply be neutral and deal with things as they come. I don't take sides in an argument, I don't sit around looking for chunks of sky in the yard as an indicator of things to come and I try to look at things objectively based on experience. I've made my plans, and I leave it at that. Let the pundits and other posters sweat. To me it is not worth getting worked up over. I am just one person so I concern myself over the things I have control over.
Overall, I stay informed, I watch, and I anticipate and prepare for possible outcomes. Until they show themselves on the playing field where they are in my reach, there's not a hell of a lot I can do about it. I offer encouragement, contribute where I can, but ultimately let people do their own thing and make up their own mind. I don't waste my time sitting around trying to convince someone else that they're wrong or I'm right and you often get stonewalled in trying. It's counterproductive so why bother?
I find the need for pepto bismol and strong liquor is drastically reduced if you exercise a little patience.
Amen Brother....
Thank you...I really enjoyed what you wrote!!!
