The answer is not
"to stop our schools from ________" or by this, that, or the other. The answer is to get kids out of the schools. I would have been just as likely to enroll my children in a state school as a Muslim school. Therefore, they didn't spend one nanosecond in a state school classroom.
I agree the material is awful...
but his dislike for rules is ridiculous. You are a minor in a setting where you should at least outwardly show respect for your elders (teachers, admin, etc.) No student should have a "right" to bring a cell phone in. Those "rights" end when you walk through the door. He's going to get a job someday and object to any rules his "fascist" employer puts on him. What, I can't talk on my cell phone all day?
Kudos to him questioning government material, but his parents are doing him a disservice by 1) putting him in a government school in the first place and 2) obviously not teaching him that there are rules in society that must be followed.
Rules
should make sense. They should serve the people who follow them, and the reasons why they serve should be clear.
When I was in high school, many eons ago, I actually saw people punished from time to time for the heinous crime of "disrespecting the school". Boiled down, it's junior-grade thought crime. This kid is 150% correct -- this is groupthink, or collectivism with training wheels.
Pride in one's school, like pride in one's country or ethnic group or any other artificial grouping is dehumanizing, and only serves whatever fascist is in charge. This kid understands this explicitly, which shows some excellent use of higher order logic skills. I'm gladdened that these haven't been beaten out of at least some public school students!

Good point on the "pride" thing
but I still maintain that rules against cell phones, camera monitoring, etc are OK. I wouldn't want my kid in a school that allowed cell phones and has that little discipline. He has good points, but he seems to have a problem with authority of all types and that will not do him any good in the real world. Almost all of us are accountable to someone, and everything can't be exactly as he would like. He better be an entrepreneur or he'll be on the dole.
Also, pride in a group is not dehumanizing. It shouldn't be forced, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Why are people surprised that this is being taught?
It's taught in college, the mainstream media, and in many churches (liberal PCA's especially).
Things aren't going to change anytime soon.
That's what I was thinking.
my undergrad major was cultural anthropolgy and graduate was marketing, they not only taught it. They taught us how to bring it about.

I keep seeing comment on this video on youtube saying 33 is some NWO number. I think I have heard it in connection with Skull and Bones. Anyone know any info as to why 33 means anything to the NWO?.

Freemasons always leave behind their calling card whenever they are behind something. I don't know why, they do it. Maybe they have the sick and twisted mentality of a serial killer.
I'm not pretending to know why they use it or what it means, but certainly it is one of their signatures.

I used to work with a guy from TN who told me that his child's history book had an asterix on the fourth amendment saying that actually, now the police have the right to stop you and search you at any time for any reason. The book claimed that this had been added to the constitution. When he confronted the teacher about this, the teacher said that there was nothing he could do, the DOE had mandated the use of that book. They never did that to us in Catholic school.

i'll do you one better
my roommates niece isn't even allowed to bring her "history" book home. i'm guessing because they don't want people like us reading it. i found this out a few months ago as i was questioning her on what she was being taught. she said they spent quite some time on China. when i asked her what they had to say about Chairman Mao she said she had no idea who he was.
she's allowed to bring all her other books home though. she's a good kid and never gets in trouble. so i'm not going to ask her to try and sneak it out so i can read it. we all know it's not worth reading anyway.

Any parent
can request to see a copy of the books his/her child is using at a public school. Perhaps the books are new and the teacher just wants to protect them...(yeah, right) Anyway, it is best not to ask the student to break a school rule...but the parent/s are free to visit the school and ask to see a copy of the current history book being used in their daughters class.
