Glenn Beck calls for a full hour debate with RP!

0 votes

My wife said that Glenn Beck was asking for a full hour debate/interview today after a caller told him that Beck actually needs to listen to RP's message instead of just bashing him. And then Beck said that he would have him on for a full hour, not just for a few minutes.

My view and take on these MSM neo-con radio/TV host. Although if you turn on the AM Radio you will hear these guys spewing there political thoughts all day, and MOST of the time they all agree with RP's philosophies. But they can not endorse RP, because if they do, they will have to admit "the defend Bush to the end-because democrats are evil-war propaganda" that they have been dumping on the American people for the past 6-7 years has been wrong. They simply can not admit they were wrong.

As a Marine, I have defended this country from foreign threats, now I am defending it from domestic threats. Lets reestablish the constitution!

With a moderator...

I agree that this would be an awesome bonanza for Ron Paul if it were done with a moderator. Someone suggested Lou Dobbs. I agree. I would even agree to Tucker Carlson.

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

the kook speaks! ;)

I stopped listening to Glenn when i heard him call Ron and his supporters "kooks" on his show. I enjoyed his show to that point but couldnt listen to someone who would treat a fellow conservative with such disdain.

So I'm glad Ron went on his show this evening, i think it went well. The 911 questions were pretty stupid but otherwise not bad.

What pi$$es me off - Glenn can trash Ron, and then later act like they are old buddies. Glenn must apologize.

I would love to see audio/video recordings of glenn calling us kooks... and play this alongside him asking to french-kiss him.

Glenn must apologize to both Ron and to us.

Yeah.

Given his proven propensity for bias, I don't think we can trust Glen with control of the microphone.

I have no doubt that Beck

is more than willing to give Ron Paul a full hour rather than the two or three minutes he receives from other shows. Because he probably believes that in an hour he, Beck, can do a lot of damage to Dr. Paul's credibility.

He probably thinks the good Doctor wouldn't be able to go head to head with him for a whole hour.

At least that's why I think he's made the offer.

But when a person is true to themselves and of course our Constitution as Ron Paul is, it makes it next to impossible, if not impossible to tarnish his image.

This is why all the barbs and insults just bounce off of him and blowback onto the sender of those barbs and insults.

So why would a full hour with Beck be any different that is if it's a fair interview, where Beck asks a question and then remains silent until Ron Paul finishes his answer.

But if it's going to be one of those Hannity shouting over the voice of Ron Paul interviews than that would not be fair. And it would be Beck who would be discredited for such tactics and deservedly so.

And if Beck were to do a Hannity type interview, I'd love to hear Ron Paul tell him...Mr Beck, if you would stop talking long enough, I would be more than happy to answer your question.

Last time Paul was on his show

he wouldn't let paul speak, kept interupting. Besides, after that hit piece why should we reward his ratings.

he is too confused...not worth going to his show

Glenn,

Seems to just pick on people...i remember the Dobson mess that Dobson had to clean up...

He picks fights all day and is not kept in line...he acts like he doesnt understand personal discipline at all

Glenn Beck is a fast talking mouthpiece

who can be entertaining, but he sticks his foot in his mouth as often as the other tv talking heads. If Ron Paul went on the show, I would like to see him turn the tables on Glenn, by being prepared to give example after example of how the media/press has shown biases.

Like pulling down CNBC polls. Not mentioning all the straw poll wins. Not including Paul's name on polls. Lack of credible airtime in debates. Even the consistent "end podium" position in the debates, on and on.

If the staff could "load his wagon" with amunition to expose the press, it might be worth it. I think Ron Paul can handle Glenn easily. One thing's for sure, Glenn's ratings would go up, and who knows, maybe some new support would come on for the good doctor.

Ron Paul

needs name Recognition and to get his name out there. An hour provides an introduction to a lot of people. He should do it!

BTW- Romney was just on the show.

Glenn Beck is a prowar wingding

I heard him in July talking about how he had been invited to the white house and told in-depth secrets about Bush's plans to bomb some more muslims. He was nearly crying, he couldn't believe the fuss he was getting and what a great and just beautiful man Bush was. It was enough to make me bring up my lunch.

He is totally untrustworthy, would definitely not be fair to Dr. Paul and is not even slightly interested in an antiwar Republican.

Why dignify him with an hour?

"What does conservatism today stand for? It stands for war. It stands for power. It stands for spying, jailing without trial, torture, counterfeiting without limit, and lying from morning to night."

Lew Rockwell

Was that the same meeting that had Hannity

so excited? And he couldn't wait to tell his audience that Bush had some futuristic plans reaching all the way to 2050. But he was sworn to secrecy and couldn't divulge what those plans are.

My question is, if these plans are so great why keep them a secret? Share them with "We the People."

My guess would be that most Americans wouldn't be as accepting of these plans as all those talking heads that attended the very private Oval Office Meeting.

And that the public needed some softening up by these talk show hosts. Thus the reason for the meeting...to get their marching orders.

The terms of the hour need rules dictated by us.

-One hour moderated debate to prevent over talk like Oreally.
-No editing, only for breaks.
-On tv only.
-Beck begins with apology for calling good Americans terrorists.

Important Line

In Beck's call for the hour, he also mentioned that at the end he might end up a supporter of Paul. He truly is on the edge, wants to support, but can't/won't without an appearance. He needs the "on air epiphany" to give himself an "out".

That's my 2-cents.

Beck wants ratings... thats all

Beck is a NEO-Conservative WARMONGERING MORON... who is in need of RATINGS... which is why he tells his audience these things...

everything he talks about... and for that matter Lou Dobbs talks about as the MOST CRITICAL THINGS FACING OUR NATION...

Are the VERY things Dr. Paul can and WOULD effect... yet neither talk about him OR HIS POSTITIONS when spewing their supposed dislike of the current system etc...

Why??

Cause they KNOW people have strong feelings on these issues.. but they know too that RON PAUL WILL REALLY DO WHAT HE SAYS.. and then they don't have the issue... And I think what it really is...is THEY REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE ISSUES.. THEY USE THEM BECAUSE THEY KEEP THEIR SHOWS ON BY PANDERING TO THE BLOCK OF AMERICANS THAT ARE CONCERNED... But they aren't cause there are REAL things they could do... but they don't...

To top it off.. many INCLUDING BECK then seek to create the MOONBaT impression of folks like the INTELLIGENT DR. PAUL

I'm telling you..

I travel so in the evening there's really not much to do except watch tv at the hotels. Sometimes I tune into Beck and his topics are normally what Ron Paul stands for. I think he throws out "mayor of crazy town" to test the waters. I can tell he wants to endorse Ron Paul but doesn't say it because of the rest of the neo-con media.

Last week I sent him an email and told him I like his topics and I agree with him on a lot of stuff, except Ron Paul. I also said his ideas are a lot about what Ron Paul pushes and I wish he'd listen to the guy and give him a chance.

Yeah. Uhuh. And "my dog

Yeah. Uhuh.
And "my dog MIGHT end up saying MEEOWW one morning".
Please, he says "might end up" just to bring us all on the wrong foot and then turn around and spin everything NeoCon style.
It'll be one big set-up from the get go.

Charles Goyette

Glenn Beck loves to throw insults.... smears and and is not deep at all. Its better Glenn Beck debates Radio personality Charles Goyette about Ron Paul. That would be 100% better. Charles is used to arguing in this manner with neocon types. Email Beck to take on Charles Goyette.

great idea!

I live in Phoenix and listen to Goyette on my way to work. He'll rip Beck up one way and down the other. Goyette is probably the most lucid, thoughtful person I've heard on talk radio, and I'm sure he'd relish this opportunity.

Goyette supports Ron Paul

Goyette has stated on several of Lou Dobbs shows how he supports Ron Paul. I wish that I could listen to his radio show in St Louis. I would have it on constantly.

radio or TV

Would this be 60 minutes worth of debate time on his radio program or his TV program? I'd skip the radio show, but do the TV show. If this goes on the radio, then Beck will just cherry pick out the parts he likes to make RP look bad and play those clips on his TV show that night.

I do have to admit though, I like what he's been doing lately on his special focus time on border security. He calls for troops on the border, and RP says the same thing. It's just the war they disagree on.

You do have to let most of what he says roll in one ear and out the other.

He's Just a Clown

Don't get upset over Glenn Beck, he's a milder version of Howard Stern. All he does is attempt to get people riled up by saying outlandish things. He's been dying to have Ron Paul on for months now.

Dr. Paul really doesn't care whether he goes on Glenn Beck's show or not.

As for the hour thing, he gave Huckabee a whole hour one night. How much good did it do him?

Same with Hunter

I believe he had a full hour with Duncan Hunter too. I know it was at least half the show.

Just got off the phone with Gieco.. my insurance company..

I let them know if they do not pull the advertising from Glenn Beck on CNN then I will be switching to Allstate.. uless someone has a better sugestion... The Marketing department was very very courtious and compleatly understood how I could be offended at bieng called a terrorist...

go with american family

they are a non reporting agency

Beck...2 Birds with One Stone

I agree that the damage has been done with his comments so what about having Dr. Paul go on the show for the exposure and afterwards we still boycott his sponsors until they pull out?

Does anyone else find it interesting

...that Beck used to go on and on about libertarian principles, but after he has dinner with g'Dub he says he gets it. Then goes on to call all of us dissenting Ron Paul supporters "terrorists". Hmmm... Sounds like the PATRIOT act in action to me.

While travelling abroad recently I couldn't get many channels

and I'd never really paid attention to Glenn Beck. But because I was subjected to the horrible U.S. News channels, who at the time were covering Nicole Simpson and the World Series exclusively it seemed, I watched some of his show. I can't believe what a complete hypocrite he is! How can you say you defend and support the constitution when you don't support the one person who speaks only of protecting and defending it. I don't remember ever hearing a presidential candidate even mention the U.S. Constitution before and there is no way the other "top tier" candidates would even consider discussing it or debating it.

Glenn Beck is just another demagogue as are the other neo-con shills.

If any of you have traveled abroad recently I wonder if any of you were just as ashamed and abhorred as I by what our country broadcasts as news these days.

I believe people are waking up finally. I started supporting Dr. Know a ways back so I am thrilled that we've come so far, much farther than I would have thought. There was a time when I was worried that I was just one of the few but I've tried to bring awareness to a few and hope to continue bringing that awareness to more. Keep up the good fight!

Would he have to offer this to other candidates?

Under equal time provisions?

Also, if Glenn Beck knows the RP campaign has already declined other offers, he's pretty safe with this not being accepted. He's just doing it so he can say, "See, I offered to debate Ron Paul. He's afraid of me." Or some other such nonsense. If RP does accept, Beck gets an instant increase in his ratings and ad revenue for his stupid show, which probably now has a less than 1% rating.

If it's a true debate with Lou Dobbs or Jack Cafferty moderating, it might worth doing.

Here is a youtube of Dr. Paul saying they will do Glenn Beck

in a few weeks. There was apparently a miscommunication between both parties.

This is hilarious!

I called a couple of the advertisers and they are fully aware, Jesus how many peeple are calling? I guess we are really doing this. Are we going to bring him down?
