america.gov has a video contest: Make a video completing the phrase "Democracy is ...."

or bad... or what got us into many of our problems...

if you did a video on why it was bad, you would just have to explain why (the potential to vote away rights/property/make bad votes, etc.) and then explain why a republic is better.

That is exactly along the lines of what I was thinking. I knew the DP crowd would have some good ideas. Too bad the ugly truth would only make the cutting room floor.
