Last night an investment banker turned to me at the bar and asked me what I thought about our govt.
He asked why people were so clueless. I didn't know where to start. Media, 2 parties, Fed Reserve, education.... I think he was thinking that I was going to be your typical girl in Chicago loving Obama. I told him that we need to move beyond our Obama love fest first before people will wake up. He agreed and started venting but not awake himself in my eyes...
Turns out he was the managing director for Wells Fargo Investment Banking and lives in NY. Went to Dartmouth and seemed very educated and established. I started asking him what he thought about things and then I gave him the Austrian breakdown of money and gold and silver. He said he knew the Keynesian model but not the Austrian ideas. I totally had him thinking and he was looking straight up and said that he's never thought about it this way. He had nothing to say and said that this was the most interesting coversation he ever had at this bar in all of his 30 years of coming there. I told him that I had to go back to my friends and my final word were to buy gold and silver!
I couldn't believe it and was so proud of myself for the way that I explained it and got him thinking. I seriously think that we can do this. Right now people are asking the questions and need help connecting the dots. Thanks DP for all the education!

We will win our country back on many fronts, and at this stage, it's all about making these subjects main stream, and helping people think for themselves. We're passing the stage where talk like this was considered fringe, now it's becoming mainstream.

I work for an investment company in Asia. It's amazing how clueless people are in my industry. I have a business associate who works for Rothschild Asset Management in HK. I consistently school him on everything when we go out for a couple drinks. He's a bit younger and "better educated" than me but he thinks I'm some kind of economics stud, but in reality I'm not. I just understand what made America great and what will keep her great. It's really not rocket science--it makes perfect sense once it's explained right.

This may seem ironic but actually at this late stage in the game both economically and governmentally or lack there of it is the best time to educate the American people on the principles of Liberty and the Constitution. Many Americans are aware that there are serious problems with the economy and government in general. They want someone or something to blame albeit it illegal immigrants, terrorists, greedy CEO's, etc. They look to the propaganda machine for there answers. I firmly believe that if our megalomaniac fascist socialist communist government would adhere to the Constitution of the United States of America, then many of our problems would disappear rather quickly. A root cause analysis of our economic and governmental problems point directly to the socialistic communism that is defying our Constitution. If the government would get off our backs regarding the economy and allow a true "free" market system and competing currencies with gold and silver as legal tender then perhaps the point would be moot and you would have never had such a conversation. Now is not the time to put our heads down in despair. Now is the time to speak with as many people as possible that are willing to listen about the constitution, sound money, competing currencies, true free markets, the federal reserve, etc. When you read the Constitution in my opinion you realize how and why things are completely fucked up. Government creates problems and then creates solutions which perpetuates like a deadly virus.
Our problems are derived because the traitors in our government refuse to adhere to the Constitution and allow the American people to really be free, prosperous, and peaceful.

I love exposing the fraud that is being perpetuated against the world. I had a life insurance agent ask me to help him run his new business, but I respectfully declined because it didn't seem like he had a good concept. It is awesome to be able to wake someone up from this ridiculous mess we're in.Most people are very willing to listen, especially now that they are starting to feel the pain.

I love your succinctness. I've been noticing a lot of continuing resentment concerning the $850B Wall Street bailout. It's common ground and a starting point for talking to almost everyone. The bailout has opened Americans' eyes to the possibility that something is amiss.

There are waaay more people
out there waking up then we think. It is because we are in isolated pockets all around the country and ignored by the MSM because they want us to feel impotent by thinking we are more outnumbered than we are. Anyway, I too, had a similar experience sitting at the bar of a popular restaurant while having a glass of wine the other night. A complete stranger initiated a conversation with me and before I knew it we were engaged in a lively conversation about the truth of the bailout, the FED, the fate of the economy, stock market and many other related things. It turned out he had been buying vast amounts of gold and silver for many years and gave me the name of a local company that basically sells wholesale if you buy a minimum amount and will ship anywhere I guess. He said the company has been around for a long time and is supposed to be where the major jewelers across the country buy their supply. It was really a great conversation and refreshing not to talk about the usual unimportant crap people usually want to discuss. Anyway, we should know that as the economy deteriates futher that people are getting angry and starting to ask the right questions. Now is NOT the time to feel defeated.

Yesterday the US Census
Yesterday the US Census Bureau called me for the second time to scold me for not mailing in my response to their 28 page census. Like you, midwest rpfan, I have to thank DP for my education. For you see, I was on fire.
The woman calling was a bit nonplussed that I would be against the federal government wanting to give my community hospitals, schools, and other benefits. She tried to tell me that this census was to determine what things our communities needed. I asked her who would pay for all those things. I told her that the federal government should only be doing those things that we can not do for ourselves, such as defending our country. Then after about 20 minutes of me explaining all that this administration has done to take away our liberties, the woman finally said that she was only an employee and couldn't answer any of my comments.
I thanked her for calling, told her it was nice to talk with her and that I will try and find the census (not) and mail it in. She said that if they did not receive it, she just wanted me to know that someone would continue to call me. I said that I understood.
So yes..... Thank you Daily Paul for the education.

I had one of those door to door jasckoffs come ask me how many people lived in the house. I said NO. He said its not going to raise your property taxes by how many people live in your house. I said it wont, think about it, if I have 10 people living here and 4 of which would need to go to school and need other city services, explain to me that they would not have to raise property taxes. He said that is what they told me to say. I said" ok make it 10,000 people. if its not going to raise taxes then why do you have this job. So 10,000 people is just as irrelevant as your job. thank you and good bye
