Over the last year, I have really started to think about getting invoved in politics. At the beginning my husband freaked out, but now seeing how everything is going, he will support my decisions. I have still have two small children so it will not be immediately. In the meantime, I would really like to study. I am not the bs artist we see today. If I do not know it and understand it, I cannot sell it. I would appreciate recommendation on reading materials.

If someone held a position in our government, what should they know? Who should they read?

Thank You

That just may prove to be the most helpful thing. I have not been on here much and I thought I remembered seeing a book thread, but I was unsure if it would still be around. Thank You!

I would start small and work

I would start small and work my way up, such as Assembly. I really do not know much about things. I avoided politics my whole like, like so many. I am learning and learning fast. I know starting with the basics of knowing the Constitution is first and foremost. I learn better as I am doing, which is why I would need to get my feet wet and then proceed forward. I am also a public school teacher and I have to see if I could hold my job, as well as the position.
