I don't see it happening the house is still standing. I got prepared with fire insurance on the house but now I just feel silly. I spent a lot of money that I should have saved. The stock market is up up up. Gold and silver falling. Dollar is up. It seems as if it was more propaganda. Hurry hurry the sky is falling. NOT! As usual, follow the money...all those spouting the fear mongering have something to gain. No more being a sucker for me!!
I Should have got into the insurance business instead. I also wasted money I could have saved on car insurance and nothing has happened, boy do I feel silly. What sucker I have been...

How do I calculate whether or not buying the insurance is going to pay off? For example, if I get renters insurance maybe I should look up the statistics in my area to see how likely it is my things will get stolen. Or maybe how much my things are worth to replace versus how much the insurance will cost over time. Am I getting warmer?

How they have cut off our eqity line even though our credit is perfect and we have a huge amount left in the line they say no more nothin notta. Said housing prices have fallen too much in our area. It hasn't hit here yet. They are just scared.

Not to mention why would you get fire insurance? it would be better to let it burn now since the it would pay out better from the insurance than trying to sell it. House prices are and will continue to drop, to at least 50% of what you paid for it. Lastly, if you think you"wasted" your money just wait, everything you own will be worth nothing when the only thing you want is food.

the stock market rallied several times during the Great Depression, just to fall back. Today, the Federal Reserve has such great control over the stock market, they can move it in virtually any direction.
There's not any truly "safe" investment. If you own gold, the powers that be will just come in and take it from you. About the only thing you can do, is put your faith in a higher (hopefully benevolent) power and keep your eyes and ears open.
Besides, relax, nobody gets out of this life alive, anyway.
