Update: The House has approved the auto bailout 237-170, but will need 60 votes in the Senate to avoid the possibility of filibuster. Apparently some Republican senators are threatening a filibuster. So far, the Democrats don't have the 60 votes. So it looks like the best strategy is to concentrate our efforts on our Senators.
Find your Rep here, then email or call them and let them know where you stand. Just pick up the phone and do it now. No need to be fancy or eloquent.
Vitter said he would use every procedural tool at his command to delay and block any bill, and other Republicans have also vowed to filibuster. “This proposal dooms companies to failure,” Vitter said.

There wasn't a public outcry like their was for the TARP bill. I guess people know when they're beat. Now our banks are in a fascist (government controlled) state it's only spreading to our biggest companies.

You remember
-It didn't pass the house the first time
-a new bill was made in the senate (which should have never occured because only congress is able to oversee the finances of the nation) and the new bill has an additional 450 pages of horrible legislation like carbon taxes, IRS expansion, and another 180 billion in spending
-this new, more horrendous bill was passed by the Congress under duress by Martial Law
Can it happen this way, or is there not enough time to get it done?

I think these companies are too big. They should told to break up. To start smaller companies. Chevy, Ford, Mercury, Buick, Cadillac, Hummer, Chrysler, Dodge, Pontiac, etc. Should all be re-formed into smaller companies. So they can start competing again. Starting innovation and competition that these large overgrown companies have overshadowed for profit. This is also true to the banks. These banks, insurance companies, and financial institutions have grown too large. The Great Ronald Regan as some people like to call him. Put in place (where, were, we're, wur, ware) banks can cross state lines. This should be stopped. Competition was thrown away. These bank grew too large. If a small bank was to gone under. It wouldn't effect the economy like these huge monstrosities now stand. There, Their, They're lies to solution my friends (Stole that from McInsane).

The auto bailout is a moot point at this late stage in the game of Liberty. The majority of Americans were opposed to the Bank Bailout bill which if you had read the 451 page bill gives the treasury secretary dictatorial powers over the economy. Obviously the Senate ignored "we the people" and then the House ignored "we the people". This is not new. This has been going on arguably over 100 years in Congress. Congress will most likely pass the Auto bailout bill too. Do not judge a bill by its cover. The bank bailout was never about helping Americans with foreclosed homes. The bank bailout bill was never about giving banks $750 billion in money. It was about giving the government communist/fascist control over the economy. It was about allowing the banks and banksters to buyout as much cheap assets as possible to fleece America. It was about the government now taking full control over Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae. Freddie and Fanny control or honor around 50% of all mortgages in America to the tune of 5 trillion dollars. The bailout bill now is over 8 trillion dollars that we the people will be taxed and have to pay back in some form of slavery or taxation. There were an estimated 2-3 million foreclosures since the housing bubble collapsed. If you value these properties correctly the sum total of all the houses comes nowhere near 5 trillion or obviously 8 trillion. The American people have been suckered again. The American people will get what they deserve. I will not fight and risk my life for those that ignored the socialistic communist fascism the government has continued to perpetrate on we the people for arguably a hundred years. I will fight for my fellow citizens who are awake to the obvious lies and deceit that this deplorable government continues to terrorize the American people with. Instead of thinking our elected officials will restore the Republic why do we not run for public office all across America so that we will be the ones in Washington voting down these obvious traitorous bills.

What's another $20 billion for congress, that's just peanuts to them anyway. Everyone in the country could call in to complain but it wouldn't make a difference, the politicians are usually years behind when it comes to paying attention to the people even if they wanted to listen. Plus they just got a mandate for a New Deal II by electing Obama, so if you think this is bad wait for Obama's first day. I had hoped I could finally buy an American car when the big 3 went under and were replaced by new, fresh, competitive companies, but doesn't look like it'll happen.
