While it is true Roubini warned of the current crash a year ago, he is embraced by the establishment only because he advocates government intervention.

Whereas Austrian economists who forecasted this all the way back when Greenspan tried to prop the the dot com bubble are either largely ignored or publicly ostracized because they don't believe the culprits of the crisis are the solution.
