UPDATE: This Movement is dying, and oh yeah your grammar ain't so good

UPDATE: I would like to thank everyone for letting me vent, before my frustration caused my brain and heart to implode. I have stated to many people who left the DP.."don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya"..and I too was about to become one of those people, only I would disappear into the darkness to not be seen nor heard from again. I have so much to do, so much to prepare for, and only so much fight left in my body. My thought was to save that fight and focus it on self-preservation...my family that is.

I would like to say that a good 90% understand that my thoughts and comments aren't about "grammar police" in particular, and my comments aren't about topics not related to Ron Paul...my comments and thoughts are completely and totally focused on the way we treat each other as human beings. You don't like or agree with a subject, you can walk away, you can comment respectfully, or you can spew personal attacks on someone for not being your clone. I know which road the "establishment" takes, I just want us to be different.

Time and time again I read comments stating that unless we spell everything correctly, and all "appear" to have English degrees, then our movement is lost because we appear ignorant. I disagree, and I'll take the masses with heart over the few with spelling hang-ups all day long. My issue is the people who log on here not because they think we are grammar perfectionist, but because we love freedom, and yet they learn that we won't allow even ourselves to be free from personal attacks and judgment. How many of those people turn around and walk out the door? I'm sure the numbers are higher than those leaving because we aren't spelling bee winners.

No matter what happens in life I will always be part of your movement, and your future.... but I will choose to hang out and discuss issues with like-minded people who can be respectful and polite even when there are differences of opinion. I am just afraid that the DP is on the way to leaving my "short list" of places I am comfortable hanging out in. And if it is on my mind, then I know it is on the minds of others, and we either correct it, or we scatter but not necessarily shrink.

Thanks again for letting me say what I feel and being receptive to my overall point. We are brothers and sisters...but we don't have to act like brats. :O)

I just got through reading the latest report card from the "grammar police", and it doesn't look good folks. If we can't accept people for being themselves, how are we ever going to stay focused on the big prize?

I just can't believe that this topic is up here again, and of course all the children of English teachers have to show up and take their shot at treating people the way their parents treated them. On a worse note....it's one crappy thing to bitch and moan because people don't live up to your anal retentive state...it's another to come here and use a "grammar check" request to take out personal attacks on our brothers and sisters, who are right beside us in this limping and wounded movement for freedom.

This movement is wounded because we are no different than the "establishment" republicrats.... We are Americans who want our freedoms and know the big picture...but just like red and blue divides those thieves, we have our own problem, which ironically is the inability to let people be free...free to be themselves and think they way they wish on certain issues...we are not meant to all be friggin robot clones..we are meant to be Christians, Muslims, Jews, Atheist, grammar perfectionist, sloppy writers, sharp as a knife, or just a rock. We should be free to support or not support any issue we like, believe the official version of 9/11, disbelieve the official version, like shots, hate shots, love rfid, hate rfid, (I know I know just had to throw that in there, we all agree on that one..haha), love the masonic lodge and what it stands for, feel that the mason ic lodge leadership is up to no good, want our childrens teeth prints taken, or believe that it is a horrible thing, Read the KJV, Don't read the KJV, believe in creation, don't believe in creation....the list goes on and on as we all know.

The point is...you get 100000 sheep in a huge building, and ask them if they want their liberties, they want smaller government, they want fairer taxes or even no taxes. If they would like to have money made of gold and silver, or at least backed by something tangible and not controlled by private banks.... I bet 90 percent smile, because it is an impossible dream, but then raise their hands.

How would we then feel? I personally would feel that given our talents, our knowledge, and our honesty, that we could change forever those sheep and our nation.

You get one a-hole to stand up and start talking about whether your a democrat or republican, and the whole conversation would start to unravel because the argument would then become personal. By the end of the day you have red on one side, blue on the other, green outside smoking a joint, and independents just feeling left out of the conversation.

Where did the goals of liberty, freedom, sound money, sound government and less taxes go? Why were we and are we now sidetracked so often?

And most importantly, who's fault is it? Is it my fault for being a Christian (however denouncing man made "religion"), who happens to think that 9/11 is at best "A mystery" the government could clarify if it could, I believe hyperinflation is a definite possibility, I believe that God created the world, and I believe that the entire Bible wouldn't be enough room for Him to explain to us lowly humans exactly step by step how He did it, and oh yeah...sometimes I use the wrong word like there and their..and sometimes I forget to show or not show possession in my grammar.

The point is, I am who I am, and I'm here right beside you just as 99.9% of the people here, and I am not your clone, nor do I necessarily treat each post as a graded essay. I should be free to state my views, post on my views, and then have a civil discussion with those who agree, and those who disagree. Those who disagree should be respectful of other peoples views, and the personal attacks should be non-existent under any circumstances. We should be different than the "establishment". That is after all what this movement is about, is it not?

I am not claiming innocence on these charges, as I have made and retaliated violently on several occasions, and for that I apologize.

In my vision for the future, we are a more open and educated people because of our tolerances for our fellow man. Our only goal is liberty and freedom, and as long as we all share that goal, we are brothers and sisters. I am still a Republican according to my voter card..but if "Our" candidate came out of the "Jolly Friggin Green Giant" party, I would work my ass off and my voter card would have JFGG by my name.

In my honest opinion, since Ron Paul didn't do as well as we had hoped, people have just turned their focus to more personal issues, rather than the big prize.

Lets pretend that all those people in the room are us, and Ron Paul talked to us about sound money, smaller government, less to no taxes, freedom, and liberty. Would your face light up? Would you raise your hand? But most importantly, would you go to the other side of the room if someone stated that they were a Christian, not a Christian, Athiest, 9/11 critic, or not....

Even a liberty loving Sheep can't wake a Republicrat sheep.
