One thing I've learned about educating people about the truth....

And maybe I'm completely off-base here, but you have to have some restraint. It is completely ineffective to spew everything you know at them all at once; they will simply dismiss you as a crazy conspiracy theorist, nut job, or unstable person.

If you are patient, it will take hold by itself. It a world dominated by news outlets, nearly everything that goes beyond "the norm" has the potential to be written off immediately, especially to those that don't even take an interest in the main stream media (those who are apathetic to everything).

That's why I'm troubled when I see people shouting on the internet, using CAPS lock, ranting and raving like lunatics. People will not respond to that behavior.

I am guilty of this

I give people a novel when I should be giving them the cliff notes.

The truth is an amazing thing

So much that we see on the internet and in the regular media is well seeded with non truth.

When a person hears the truth, they know it.

It runs at a different frequency than a lie.

Easy one below.

"The federal reserve is privately owned"

More sophisticated.

"Obama's chief foreign policy adviser is one of the founders of the Trilateral Commission"

More emotional.

"I think it is important that we remain our own country, not some part of some giant world government like the EU wants"

Easier again

"I tend to stay away from the TV news, they seem to blow everything out of proportion"

These aren't that good, but I thought I'd ask if you guys would put together
some good..."pick up lines" that are "comfortable"

Crazy stuff just serves the needs of those in charge. Keep it simple as that is what the truth is.

I do think it is important to always remember the above, the truth is simple.

Unify

The key is facts

Plain and simple.

I agree. Most people need a gradient that's not too steep.

I've been writing a newsletter to email to my family and friends about once a month. I keep it to one issue at a time and try to tie in some action they can take to get involved: like writing their congressman in support of a particular bill, or signing an on-line petition. I try not to load it up too heavily with RP stuff, just in case they are put off by one of his positions. Some people can't get past the idea of ending the war on drugs or the perpetual war on terror. I think they can still be brought into the movement gradually and will eventually see the light.

If anyone proceeds to show interest in our issues, I take the opportunity to load them up with as many dissemination materials as I think they can handle, like an AFTF DVD or a copy of "The Insiders".

P.S. If anyone thinks they can use my newsletter, "The 10-Minute Patriot", as a dissemination tool, contact me via the DP and I'll put you on my mailing list.

No one knows the absolute

No one knows the absolute truth of anything. "Truthies" are deluding themselves on multiple levels. "Internet research" versus hands on first-person research just adds to their confusion.

There are a good number of FACTS

That many people do not know.

The key is sticking to facts and leaving speculation up to each individual to perform on their own.

I'll Keep It Simple

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."

How bout this one:

A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!

This one?

A fool utters all his mind.

Oh well, carry on...

Demoralized minds are immune to truth

I think people yell on here because it's not the same as the living room at your friends house. There's lots of people here who are well versed in the reality of the situation and give lots of documentation, but people in the same room refuse to accept it. When it's one guy saying something in the wilderness, I can understand dismissing it (not that I would without research), when it's 10-20, you have to wonder if there's something to it. When it gets to the point that "crazy conspiracy theorists" are manning the phone banks on public TV, anyone on here that blindly dismisses this stuff is either retarded, severely retarded, or pretending to be retarded. Just my opinion.

Well, I am sorry, but I disagree...

TIME IS RUNNING OUT! Now is not the time to be passive about what is happening and sometimes people need to be yelled at to get them to wake up!

Holy cow, batman, the NEW WORLD ORDER (the call for a world governance) has been in hundreds of newspapers lately, the Feds are trying to issue their own bonds and by-passing the US Treasury, Obama is saying that global warming must be stopped in the name of National Security and my goodness I can go on and on and we are just suppose to be quiet and nice and passive?

I think time is up for that. It is time to get loud! people. Our lives, our freedom, our heritage, our families, all of this is hanging in the balance. I cannot talk about this without getting upset. I cannot talk quietly when I am upset.

I'm not sure what you disagree with.

Sounds like we're on the same page. Did you see my post "Do you believe in snowballs"? Believe me, I'm keenly aware of the problem. The question is, will we need to wake people up anymore when it's in their face?

And---the people on here that are not awake are choosing that for temselves. It's like they are in a great library but sit there reading Time magazine.

I saw your snowball thread

liked it, my only issue is the snowballs started rolling down the mountain in 1913 slowly and not all at the same time. Now they are so big none of the soldiers that go up can stop them. They are destined to wipe us out. I really have lost hope in changing anything, except my response and preparations.

I know that sounds so doom and gloom, and maybe tomorrow or the next day I will find some hope but I really think it's over it's just a matter of time.

!!!Truth is treason in the EMPIRE OF LIES!!!

" Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of they day; but a series of oppresssions...pursued unalterably, through every change of ministers, too plainly proove delibrate, systematical plan of reducing us to slavery..."
Tho

I wasn't disagreeing with you Mike, I was disagreeing with the

original poster. BTW, I did not see your snowball thread sorry!

Place a "tool" in their hands, call them later for their opinion

"We are looking for the people who are looking for us."

And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”
