After going to the site you gave, I phoned Representative Blessings and Batchelder urging them not to vote for a Constitutional Convention. This is indeed a most dangerous time to place our highest law in corrupt hands.

and read the full article? Those asking for this convention claim it's to "balance the budget" However, once the convention is called anything can be laid on the table including, but not limited to, amendments or rewriting a new constitution Do you see the danger? We hang by a thread as it is, our Republic is threatened due to mass population ignorance. With the corrupt government officials now at the helm, what do you really think will happen here? Please read the whole article. WE still have a constitution, although it is sitting on a shelf collecting dust for lack of use. WE cannot afford to have this "piece of paper" altered in anyway without knowing there are officials who will fullfill their oath of office: uphold and defend the constitution not subvert it!!! do they want to call for a Constitutional Convention? Tell us what they want addressed. After all, isn't Ohio a conservative State?
Before I get involved in stopping something, I surely want to know why I'm stopping them.
Is it possible they're trying to stop Congress from violating the Constitution any further than they already have?

this issue really has me torn up inside, to tell the truth! I have read the pros and cons....have given much thought to the pros and cons...and still cannot decide one way or the other...
I guess it could play out against the Constitution, or it could work in our favor for the Constitution....
I do know if the Constitution were being followed, a convention would not be necessary....

This is an issue that I remember fighting back when I lived in Washington, 30 years ago! The John Birch Society is always at the forefront of this battle--educating people on WHY a convention would be the end of our Republic.
When one considers how congress managed to completely ignore the angry constituents when it came to the bailout---you can understand that, once they opened the Constitution to revision, our input wouldn't have any effect. The Constitution can be amended by congress WITHOUT having a CC to tear apart the very fabric woven into it by the Founding Fathers.
