My jaw is still on the floor. How can anyone think like this?

A quick dollar devaluation would work wonders for submerged borrowers. Don't kid yourself: It could happen.

Devaluing Dollar

They think like this because they have a lot of money and don't have to work. Devaluing will only be first part. Then they will stop interest on the debt. Then they will default on the principal.

It is happening...

First time that I've seen this 'Forge' individual contribute anything other than official government 9/11 conspiracy theories.

The dollar has been devalued for a long time coming—what's new? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Dollar_value_chart.gif

It is amazing what you can find...

when you look.

I don't fit into any of the neat cookie cutter shapes you wish I did.

What, they already devalued the dollar

They devalued it when they doubled the money supply so they halved the value of every dollar out there. The market just hasn't caught up yet because the money is still sitting in banks.

Money is a product. When there is a shortage then values go up.

When there is a glut then values go down.

Tying money to Gold stabilizes it. Matter can neither be created nor destroyed. Economic principles need to be backed up with physical laws or else your get counterfeiting and inflation.

During Inflation wages lag behind prices and the worker loses and the seller gains. Worker must earn MORE or fall behind. Inflation is a terror for working families. The Federal Reserve is an infaltionary system by design.

Article is NOT by Forbes

it only appeared in his magazine. We all know Steve Forbes is for a strong dollar and he campaigned for Dr. Paul and he would have been much better than Bush in 2000.

Not only debt stays the same

Not only debt stays the same, so does savings. Gotta punish those selfish savers. Reward patriotic debtors and asset speculators.

"We will never give up. We will never give in." - Dr. Ron Paul

Before you guys blast this guy...

...He's actually one of us. I read his article, and replied as any Ron Paulian would, and this was his reply:

"I agree with you entirely, but letting everything fail would be more painful (but truly capitalistic) and the government will not live with that solution. My alternative rewards everyone with assets instead of just the culprits. The final result of devaluation will be the same, though it may not be as well contained in the government’s programs.

I don’t like the situation, did not cause it, and have written articles since the end of 2005 warning of the Fed’s easy money policy, and the ridiculous mortgages being made in ’06.

I would like to do away with the Fed and these bubbles – let the markets adjust interest rates."

Emphasis on "the government will not live with that solution." This man is a realist, and came up with a suggestion that is actually plausible for the government to follow. Our government will never allow the economy to collapse until our currency collapses.

Devaluation??? = Fast Inflation

Leaving the Gold standard is what drives inflation and got us into this mess in the first place. You want to go the fast route and just devalue the Dollar...why wait for time right?? This is Thick as a Brick thinking just like the FED.

Get back to the Gold Standard at all costs before the Dollar is Code Blue. There is no excuse to go deeper into funny money.

YEP....very rapid

YEP....very rapid inflationary pressures on an already devalued currency.

To answer your question...

"My jaw is still on the floor. How can anyone think like this?"

Hmmm let's see.... someone that has A LOT of investments in other currencies or assets that aren't in USD?

You know what at this point

You know what at this point they are not going to get off the path they have been on so let them do it, let the false equity in my real estate rise 30% and give all the sheep a false sense of recovery so I can unload it all and buy my retreat property and get all set up to be self sufficient.

Because I will be better off then I am now if it all crashes right now. I am doing better then most with my preps because I started many years ago but I played the game and let slide for too long my final plans and am now between a rock and a hard place as far as location and real estate holdings.

The sheep are never going to wake up until it's too late so I say give them one last hurrah so patriots can make final preparations before the piper comes marching into town demanding payment...

Dollar Devaluation To Fix The Great Recession
Frank Beck, 12.09.08, 01:00 PM EST
A quick dollar devaluation would work wonders for submerged borrowers. Don't kid yourself: It could happen.

What began as government social tinkering--with implied threats to banks and mortgage companies to extend home loans to even the most marginal of borrowers--led to a greed-blinded mortgage banking business and the meltdown we are experiencing today. Now we are asked by the same congressional leadership to go along with taxpayer-funded bailouts of the very banksters who, while making millions, created the mess.
