Australians think we are dumb and Nepalese love Ron Paul
Well, that is based on a very small sample, LOL. But it is interesting. My son is in the Philippines working for a company that has a lot of international students coming through. He had lunch with someone from Nepal. The guy asked my son if he followed politics. My son said "yes." The guy was surprised. He didn't think Americans paid attention to politics. He asked my son if he voted for Obama (fully expecting him to say "yes"). My son said, "no way, he voted for Ron Paul. He is for Ron Paul." The guy was blown away. He said he was, too. He loves Ron Paul. A guy from Nepal loves Ron Paul.
Then, my son was sitting in a bar and overheard some Australians talking. Well, they didn't know he was an American. His father is Mexican so he looks Iranian. Anyway, he overheard the Australians say that Americans are dumb. They don't have a clue how corrupt their government is.

to agree with that statement. I don't think Americans start out dumb, between the chemicals, media and education system that is the result.

what...a US diplomat. Was your son aware of this meetup? I am/was a member..."in-absentia". :)

No, he didn't but he just moved to Cebu the beginning of November. He loves it there. I don't know if he will ever come back. :( He has talked to people over there that are aware of so many things that most Americans aren't. Interesting.

I did many polls like this in Europe
I would ask on the streets people about 9/11 (this was 2002-4 period)
and majority said it was an inside job....asked mostly young people Italian Swiss German Brits and Irish...
