Are animals vanishing where you live? Look around. Is the sun to blame?
Submitted by Agesilaus on Sat, 12/13/2008 - 12:45From a meditation by George Paxinos, Dec. 11, 2008:
"Around here, the Earthworms seem to have vanished. The trend was began around three years ago. And now, when it rains, instead of seeing hundreds of them on sidewalks and roads, they are nowhere to be found....
Then I heard that in Britain, something like 85% or Sparrows seem to have died off or moved to other climes. So I started looking for the swarms of sparrows around here that used to be so ubiquitous in their loveable rowdiness -- and almost all were gone.
I feed wild birds in winter, and our Blackbirds, who fly around warbling and begging, even landing on balconies in search of food when snow-cover is heavy, had also mostly gone. Even the many Magpies, at least some of which would hang around most of the winter, have now either departed, or died off. They are simply GONE."

In my own local scene I have noticed the disappearance of salamanders. Ten years ago, salamanders used to appear in the garden in large numbers with the advent of the rainy season every winter. We still get winter rain, but no more salamanders. And yes, I do miss the cute critters, and I worry.
What are your own observations, fellow patriots?

Tons of animals here
Including bugs, eagles, owls, coyotes, and I'm just a block away from suburbia.
Sound like more nonsense to me.

My Corgi and Jack Russell
My Corgi and Jack Russell disappeared this week but it's because a mountain lion came by and had them for supper.

Are you serious?
Did a mountain lion really get your dogs?

Do you think "chemtrails" have anything to do with this?
just a thought.
Paxinos thinks Teller started the chemtrails to block sunlight.
If so, it is working, causing Global Dimming, which surely must reduce the total output of life energy via photosynthesis, meaning less food, reducing wild animal populations first, next livestock, finally humans....

Hell No!
I have turkeys and squirrells coming out of my ears here in Fl. Every month there are more and more. I have counted up to 27 in my yard at one time. Every single day they are here. I have to go out and rake all my mulch back into the beds off the grass and walks. I see deer and land turtles often and songbirds are just as annoyingly plentiful as ever. Not a moment of silence around here. There are so many treefrogs, I find them hopping across my dashboard in the truck on the way to the store sometimes. I have no clue how they get in there. And the Lizards are equally as plentiful.
Are you up near Gainsville?
I read that most of the land in Gainsville, Florida, is set aside as a nature preserve.
