One Small Thing We Can All Do: Help This Kid Find Some Hope

0 votes

Help educate our children about what this country was meant to stand for.

This kid needs your help. He's trying to make a point about returning to the Constitution, but the Obamabots are beating him.

Click on "Inauguration Essay Contest"

His name is Joseph Gazzoli, he has about 50 votes so far, but the Obama doctrine has over 700.

If the link doesn't get you to the exact page, just search on the stltoday site for "president essay."

Please try to make a statement about our country for the sake of this boy and his generation.

He's in second place,

What wimps we've become

We can help raise millions in one day but we can't get our contacts to visit a web site and register a vote. What a crying shame. People here like to call themselves "activist". All I'm seeing is called, "apathy". Will the guest's please step into the light and be counted? Will anyone here, leave this site long enough to visit other sites and tell them to 'vote' for this kid? I'm sure he won't be allowed to give his speech, but how the hell can you people let him go down in flames on a computer generated vote?
He should have several thousand votes by now! Apathy descibes most of you here, all talk, little or no action. What great revolutionary's you are. I hope I have offended every one deserving of it. You know who you are.

The contest is undoubtably rigged…

… it's only intent is to trot out some brain dead public school student to read their essay on inauguration day and have Obomba pat the little f**ker on the head as a photo op. This is only an illusion and dog and pony show. Do you think there is one iota of a chance that Joseph (the only student with the ability to think out of the whole bunch) has a chance to read his excellent essay? If so, I have some used lottery tickets for sale. On top of that, in order to vote there is a registration procedure that sets you up for a bunch of future spam, which I will flag as such with gMail as soon as it starts rolling in. Good luck with the futile endeavor. Sorry folks, I call'em as I see'em.

You don't need to register

You don't need to register to vote. Did you see that before you called it?
In the time it took you to write that, you could have given the kid a vote.

You don't ...

You don't have to register if you go directly to the link here.
http://stltoday.upickem.net/engine/Votes.aspx?PageType=VOTIN...

Select the box under his essay at the top and then click on the "save vote" button at the top of the screen. If you look at the vote count before and after you see that your vote is counted.

The system can be cheated by clearing your cookies after you vote, closing down your browser and opening up a new one with the link. It will let you vote again. That's probably how the other guy is getting all of the votes. Not exactly very fair. ;-(

Please tell everyone you know to vote, they can vote once a day. Let's help this kid win a $500.00 savings bond, so he can buy some gold & silver :)

Bumping

He's at 1880 now. Two more days to vote for this great essay.

I'm not sure ...

I'm not sure if the voting is rigged but the people voting for the other essays may be voting more than once per day. A person can vote again by clearing his internet cookies and opening up a new browser to vote. Not something I recommend as we don't want Joseph's essay to be accused of just having duplicate votes. I think the contest may allow for voting once per day as sunshine05 states below.

He's at 1713

Those who already voted can vote again - once per day!

another bump

He is currently at 1708.
The two essays ahead of him are at 3543 and 2049.

Again, here is the direct link to vote. Only two simple clicks to vote.

Here is a direct link to vote for Joseph Gazzoli's essay. It might make it easier for the lazy people to vote. :-)

He's getting hammered

The OP should change their post to this link:
http://stltoday.upickem.net/engine/Votes.aspx?PageType=VOTIN...

He's at 249 (the Obama (winner so far) is at 1623)

Wonder if...

the voting is rigged, just like in regular elections!

Man, I posted this at Prison Planet, it's posted here and everywhere else from reading the above posts, and he is still that far behind?

What up?
