A letter to my Senator - D. Feinstein

So listening to rumors of bailing out the so called victims of this Madoff scandal sort of put me over the edge enough to write a fastly written, but scathing letter to my senator. I dont know why but i feel like she was most worthy of reading about my current state of complete disgust. I feel i really have to make these less emotional and back them up with very well pointed and sourced arguments in a more scholarly way, but i fear that would be an even bigger waste of time and intellect.

thought id share it with you DP'ers as theres no one else i can really share it with that would even give half a damn.

anyway, it reads as follows

"Dear Senator:

This year, I refuse. Refuse what? Refuse to acknowledge that our United States government, as it stands, as a credible sanctioned governing body as designated by the constitution. And no, I dont refer to our Disaster in Chief, Bush 43, but more specifically to those of you that encompass our congress. Our legislative body tasked with directly representing the best interests of the constituents you serve. Something that regardless of best intentions, is something you fall guilty of yourself, but i digress.

Our tax dollars, all assumptions of actual legality surrounding our 16th amendment's ratification aside, has been abused, misappropriated, and downright stolen and exported to foreign nations in a manner so blatantly public and shallowly transparent as it never has been previously in our nations short history. And it is downright DISGRACEFUL.

In conjunction with president Bush's current administration, Congress has voted an unprecedented near 1Trillion dollar emergency measure to shore up the quagmire caused by credit default swap abuse, Effectively socializing the bank sector in a manner that socializes all risks and loss, but keeps gains and benefits private. Congress has voted to relieve a stubborn, non-conforming auto industry with 10's of billions of dollars, all while these companies have been building factories to replace american labor with a cheaper foreign workforce effectively cutting thousands of jobs out of detroit. Congress has appropriated TRILLIONS of dollars to a failing and disgraceful and downright ILLEGAL war. Congress is now appropriating billions in relief for farming equipment manufacturers such as the likes of Deere. And There is even whispers of rumors of congress bailing out the victims of this joke of a 'scandal' perpetrated by Madoff (no firm can run this kindof scheme for 40 some odd years, have multiple investigations and come out clean if a financial PI can call it to be what it really was 10 years ago in a manner of months).

And where are we now? With our congress and president spending us literally into the poor house, the US is now consuming some 80% of the world's savings, and now that the entire system is CRASHING as a result. The very bailouts our tax dollars supposedly fund (we know that we're spending more than we're bringing in with tax by a mile or more), we the people are paying for our own job replacements in other countries. We the people are paying for the murder of thousands of people in other countries (and when is murder ever really 'legal'?). We the people are making sure the piss poor, greedy decisions made by an extremely wealthy and powerful few arent denting into those individual's bottom line by socializing all of our current losses. And those losses that arent being subsidized by legitimate industries being a casualty of this mess are causing us to lose our jobs at a dangerous, almost suicidal rate for our economy.

All of these measures, mostly all supported and voted in favor in one way or another by yourself.

Well guess what Senator, I've HAD IT! You've IGNORED your constituents' pleas to vote against this perverse bailout-frenzy fiasco just as congress as a whole has IGNORED the best interest of this country by sinking ALL confidence in our dollar potentially dooming this currency.

I refuse to pay for my own job being outsourced to some foreign country. I refuse to watch 1/4th of my life's work be sent to some rich fat slob living in one of his 10 mansions on a hill somewhere. i refuse to contribute to another missile expense responsible for killing innocent people in lands ive never even heard of otherwise. Im nauseated by the sad pathetic state of imprisonment imposed on this 'free' country and all of its sleeping 'citizens'.

Then again what do YOU care. Every letter, ever plea ive sent you over the course of this year you have dismissed with a mass-mail response of indifference.

When this country is stripped bare of its wealth and our people are lining up in droves at the local soup kitchen, we'll ALL know who to thank.
