Okay, I don't know how I ended up on Frank Luntz's email list, but I received the following email today.

Here’s your chance to have your voice heard and participate in the poll that is likely to be the most talked about of 2009.

We’re calling this survey “What Americans Really Want … Really” because it is the first poll to allow average people the chance to prioritize what really matters to them. This survey tackles every important area of life: keeping a job, what you want for your family and the future, defining the American Dream, maintaining quality of life. There are questions on religion, on health, on retirement.

It’s going to take about nine minutes of your time – but it will be the most innovative survey you’ve ever filled out, and it will address issues and concerns you genuinely care about.

In addition to the extensive media coverage, you’ll even get a chance to read the national results at Luntz.com next month, so you’ll see where you stack up vs. the rest of America. This survey will also be featured in my upcoming book, and your comments have a chance of being incorporated, cited, and seen by millions of people. This is a chance for you to impact how major companies, institutions, and the government do business over the coming year.

You’ll find this poll interesting and intriguing. I promise. Give it a shot.

If you would like to participate please click on the following link or copy and paste it into your web browser, answer the questions and click done when completed.

Weird

I thought it was oriented toward gathering more information for Bernays style marketing.

I'm skeptical.

Why would Luntz put a survey on "SurveyMonkey"? Someone probably made up a bogus survey and copied an official-looking logo onto the opening screen. I wouldn't touch it.

I want Frank Luntz to skinny dip in the shark tank at seaworld.

Thats what I want.

Tarred and feathered would be a second choice.

Half way through...

And I backed out! You're right. No one should ask those questions of anyone and no one should have to answer them. Some questions should NEVER be asked.

Strange questions

Incredibly personal and invasive. I would only send something like this from a public computer and not my own. Too much information.
