On the fourth day of fascism,

On the fifth day of fascism,
W gave to me
Five waterboards,
Four no-fly lists,
Three signing statements,
Two sneak-peek searches,
And the status of detainee.

On the sixth day of fascism,
W gave to me
Six-dollar gas,
Five waterboards,
Four no-fly lists,
Three signing statements,
Two sneak-peek searches,
And the status of detainee.

On the seventh day of fascism,
W gave to me
Seven ID cards,
Six-dollar gas,
Five waterboards,
Four no-fly lists,
Three signing statements,

On the twelfth day of fascism,

Ten tasers tasing,

Eight endless wars,
Seven ID cards,
Six-dollar gas,
Five waterboards,
Four no-fly lists,
Three signing statements,

And the status of detainee.


All in good fun here, of course, but more true than I care to admit. This year, as we're sitting down with family and friends on Christmas day, let's resolve to give ourselves, and one another, the best present this country could ever receive: a renewal of the ideals of the American revolution, a return to peace and true freedom.
