The mainstream media is OWNED by a small group of men, Mike.
Look'em up. Look who they hang with. Look who they give money to. Look at what the media outlets they own say to you and me.
The media has bee pretty much controlled since the 1800's.
Murdoch? Sulzberger? Zell? etc etc......scary bunch of folks who decides what the media tells us...it is what motivates these men that answers your question.

I grew up with some folks who owned a newspaper....they sold to Mr. Sulzberger's father.....look it up, brother.
They HAVE to lie....the whole game is based on a lie. They throw in SOME truth to keep it balanced, but the lie wins....cuz they own the media.
The TV set is NOT for entertainment...it is a component of the control mechanism. People who get upset when I ask them to shut off the TV? Are controlled...duh. If you think it is harmless...Murdoch wins.

A poster here actually tried to deify Neil Cavuto. Cavuto EFFED the Doc a half dozen times during the campaign. Scum is as scum does.

Also, a lot of people in the media probably agree with the goals, and see themselves as well-intentioned. They did support going into Iraq to 'help' the Iraqi people, didn't they? For some reason, they are never held accountable or get much of the blame for this. Bush could never have pulled it off without them.

He's in Charge of the CFR. They bought the news in 1915. Never let it go. Put an editor in every newsroom and tv show. They've always owned the movies. So everything the media people think and know is the same hogwash the rest of us get. The CFR guys get the real info because they PLAN it.
I know, I know. I'm crazy. You guys all found out about this stuff in the last year or two. I've known and researched it for 20 years. The rabbit hole is very deep. Think of how far you have come, there is more to learn every day.
The news is valuable because it is the official story and it's good to know it. But it is only a story, the trick I have learned is identifying the literary devices.

It is shocking
that anyone here wouldn't know that. But it also shocking that the people reporting the news haven't caught on and rebeled. Don't they realize they will be slaves too? Could all of them be cold enough not to care about the future of the country,the world, or even thier own families? Could they all be such cowards? That's what puzzles me.

Who is profitting, who has a vested interest? The majority of us here already know the the truth, don't listen to the media, they are in on some the most corrupt plans out there.

Most will probably say "because it is controlled". This is mostly true. I think it is not 100% controlled, but controlled to a great extent nonetheless. Yet some truth gets through, and I've recognized that more is getting through now with faces like Cavuto, Beck, and Willard talking about things we wouldn't originally expect. I don't know what's happening here and how or why they're being allowed to compromise the intentions of the ruling-class elites that own them. Maybe they think it's too late for us to stop them?

I agree it's not "100%
I agree it's not "100% controlled" in the truest sense because the media seems to be duped by the government propaganda just as much as the American people. This is a victory for the elite, however, as our media is just as "controlled" as a a socialist government controlled media, although they have succeeded in this country as passing it off as completely free.
