I can't agree with you more! Again look at TRICARE and MEDICAID!!! People can't even get same day acute appts and then are left sitting in the "ER" waiting room for hours!!! Don't let this crap fool you! As long as we're still a pill popping nation, we will never get our health care under control!!! And then what? Are we going to be subject to forced medical care because the government thinks the corrupt FDA's drugs will 'CURE' what ails us? Even if the drug is new??? This plan is scary all around, I don't want this government telling me/forcing me into their medical requirements. This is what nationalized health care could very easily do, if it is implemented. You will start to see medical requirements for ALL OF US, if you only need to get a checkup on this plan!

Preventative Health Care
Yes, it would be nice if chelation was provided for everyone, and acupuncture, and colon irrigation, etc. Health insurance companies would end up saving millions if they covered preventative care. But then Big Pharma would lose business, and specialized medical care physicians would be out of work. Gee, that would be terrible, eh?
Disease, or not to be diseased . . . . that is the question.

Look at TRICARE OR MEDICAID
Anyone in those systems know how crappy nationalized health insurance can be. The time it takes to wait for services, and how you have to see some of the lowest quality providers in the United States. And that's just a fraction of the population, imagine tripling the population in those systems??? What we need is preventive health care! And natural alternative medicine. But until we get those perversed big pharma, FDA holes are out of work, the US is going to continue pushing pills and shoving GMO's and preservative laden food down our throat, and then wonder why we are obese, diabetic and cancer ridden.

Yeah, Canada's system is great NOT
Ask a Canadian friend of mine who had to depend on her American friends to take up a collection for her to have treatment for lead poisoning that Canada wouldn't cover. I also attended a luncheon with a woman who's husband was a surgeon in Canada, and she says the system is abysmal. No thanks!

I know American women with serious medical conditions who married Canadians just to get healthcare here and not go bankrupt...actually women advertise in newspapers here openly stating the reason...
Canada is rich in natural resources and we have only 35 million people we can afford it...and we don't spend 1 trillion$ a year on military budget.

Just like everything you can
Just like everything you can find the good and bad in all the health care paradigms that exist in big countries right now. Look at Cuba's health care. It actually sounds really good for those that need it. BUT Cuba is NOT a country I'd want to live in. The problem is with all the health care arguments is we need to do something we have NEVER done before, which is to privatize health care while also taking care of those in need and (the hardest part) divorce ourselves from the power and control of the Pharma Industrial complex. Socialized medicine does have it's upside but you know better than I Legalize what the cost really is. So it's not so free is it? Mybrother has lived in Holland for 32 yrs and has the same situation. I would rather earn 75K a yr as a plumber ( he earns 35K working as a plumber for 29+ yrs) and keep the fruits of my labor and pay for my own health care.

A boy & girl whom ran for class president in 5th grade. One of them was very up on current events and felt that he/she could represent the class very well ect... The other one got up before the class and said everyone gets free ice cream if the vote for me. So the class jumped up and down cheering YES WE LOVE ICE CREAM and so they voted for that one. Sound familiar?

But I can tell you about the burrito's at 'Taco's de Acapulco'. Also 25 other taco wagons & restaurants around this party town. Cruel aren't I ;-)
