Where I live, I'm about a ten minute walk away from a fine second run theatre, the Capitol in Arlington. So even though we got about a foot of snow in Boston over the past couple of days, and the city slowed to a crawl, my wife and I were able to take a nice winter walk up to the Capitol and watch W.

Pathetic. Fascinating. Man, this country got taken for a ride. I'll never see W. Bush the same way again. I recommend it to all. Has anyone else seen it?

Too bad they missed the shoe it would have been a great ending!

"The use of 'Conspiracy Theorist' or 'Truther' as a derogatory -- as an epithet almost -- is something the propagandists have perfected over the decades, and it's a useful tool for eliminating articulate dissent."

It's a propaganda piece

Here's a funny series more honest about Bush and his "league of doom":

I laugh everytime they showed Cheney taking a canary from his lunchbox and biting off its head-priceless surrealism.

130 IQ..

How is that possible? Unless he acts out being a buffoon to excellence their is no way in hell he's that cognitive. If that be the case then damn does he have us fooled.

I'll let the evidence speak for itself.. Can you say strategrie?

I saw the movie, and I had a really hard time with it. Thanks to all of you here, and the Revolution in general, I feel like Bush's crimes and missteps were way more serious than the movie showed them to be. It felt like watching an SNL skit a lot of the time, which is fine for SNL, but I think it made light of the seriousness of the problems created by this administration. There were parts that should have been more poignant, such as W trying to talk to and relate with the wounded soldiers. Not Stone's best work, if you ask me.

Cheney (Dreyfuss) was great, though!

10% of people watch things happen
85% say "What happened?"

I haven't seen it yet, Michael,

but I would like to. I find it difficult to accept the likable buffoon theory, since his IQ is supposedly 130... However, alcohol, etc. can make one do some "pretty dumb" stuff....

Entertainment

Hollywood is an entertainment industry. Like the military industry they too (Hollywood) have been known to use propaganda.

Haven't seen the movie but....

The trailer seems to perpetuate the myth that W. Bush was just a likable buffoon whose missteps were more the result of stupidity and ignorance than greed and villainy.

That's what the Conspiracy would like us to believe.
I don't buy it.

And neither should you.

Why do people who question everything that their government says believe Hollywood?

Thanks for the heads up. I'll wait and get it on netflix. Michael , thank you for your dedication to freeing America and the world of sick human beings.

I saw it

while I was campaigning for a local Ron Paul endorsed candidate running for Congress. His campaign manager thought such a movie would attract politically minded people and so be a good place to make campaign literature available.

Anyway, I thought the movie was completely unrealistic. It portrayed Dubya as living in his father's shadow but still being mostly in charge of his administration. Poppy and the members of Bush's cabinet were portrayed as regular, even likable, people doing what they thought was best for America under the circumstances.

In reality, the Bushes, Dick Cheney and the rest of the bunch are highly disturbed people who are driven to obtain wealth and power for themselves while thinking of the rest of us as vermin unworthy of compassion. I thought the movie was a silly piece of propaganda and an utter waste of time. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Haven't seen the movie...

but lived through his tyranny. I cannot believe that my wife and I voted for this sonofabitch twice. I remember when Dr. Paul first caught my eye. It was the debate when he stated that he was "the champion of the constitution." I perked up like a wanting puppy. After that, I spent hours a day on youtube researching this man. I have been hooked ever since. Liberty is contagious. I just wish it was more contagious.

i haven't watched this

i haven't watched this yet.

A bunch of my friends saw this and ended up feeling sorry for W.

only reason i'd watch this is to see what the sheep are being fed.

The slogan press on has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave.

Didn't Like W

(the movie) - the trailer is great. - perfect song.
I'm glad the film wasn't too heavily handed (politically)
But it seems to me that the director couldn't find the right balance
between the surreal w/ the documentary/historical fiction.
Of course, my favorite movie is Brazil so I have different taste!

Wish i were in Arlington

My mom grew up on Melrose in Arlington, spent a lot of time there. Now down here in the pathetic Ct suburbs, near casinos. Ugh. Michael, if you and your family are ever in the casino area of CT, please let me offer you a wonderful dinner party at my house. Winter here is so bleak, entertainment is narrow, conversation empty. Let me know when you can come by.

Much Respect to you Michael

But I don't think I would pay to see that movie. I might check and see if the torrent is available for it.

The ONLY reason I would consider looking at it would be to have a better understanding of how other people view him.
